Are you aware that rebuilt title is a salvage title? If you pulled a carfax before you purchased a vehicle this should of showed up that the car was totaled at one point and that it was salvage and now it holds rebuilt titile. You are probably best getting hold of Washington motor vehicle department and see what they suggest.

Hope you sort this out.

I purchased it from Florida and the car left washington rebuilt, the title never got transferred over.

I contacted my DMV and they told me I need proof from Washington or Florida that this title is actually rebuilt.

It appears that the title was washed as a rebuilt, not as a salvage. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I could be absolutely screwed

I am, this is my second one actually.

The top of the carfax in big bold letters say "Branded title, Rebuilt"

My Dmv has no record of it, the rebuilding says it happened in washington, washington has no record of it.

Some one has record of it if the title is rebuilt. I would be on the seller about this. Something is fishy..

Side note: Hopefully you learn something and don't buy salvaged cars in the future.

Yeah buying a salvage is a lot more work and more proof should be shown before making the purchase.

Contact Florida DMV, contact Washington DMV to get the proof you need. Sounds like the seller in Florida had the same issue as you are having. That's why they sold it. Use the car fax as a guide to track down who you need to call next.
