Hi Guys!
I have a feeling I'll be going to dark side soon lol.. I'm seriously considering getting a 2016 sti, or waiting for the Focus RS! RS or STI guys!!

I'm really thinking about it.. I've had bunch of evo's and I think it's time to move on to something else... Worst case I could always pick up an 8 for cheap

If it still has the ej25, pass for sure. No one wants an engine that has proven to be unreliable.

Imo, the Focus RS will be more exciting than an STI with that tired old 2.5 in it. Especially when Japan is getting the new 2.0 http://www.torquenews.com/1084/upgra...ing-tested-sti

If you really want an STI, wait for the newer 2.0 to be available in the US (its bound to happen eventually).

I agree with the choice of the RS over the 2016 STi, unless you're just set on the STi in which case I'd immediately prep for a preventative rebuild. The RS is going to be more bang for the buck IMO.

I'm not set on the sti at all lol. I am leaning towards the RS more. I guess I just want something brand new for 35-40k that's fun to drive.

I have always loved the rumble of the 2.5 boxer engine. You cant go wrong with a 2016 STI, but I am real curious of the new engine coming out.

dont buy an STI. EJ motor is 20 years old almost and is decent at best. Wait until the STI has an FA motor in it

RS I would get any day over the STI right now. WRX is a better choice than the STI for the money

The focus rs looks very promising. I don't like that it's a ford but looks like it would be a great platform to have some fun with.

if you're going for a daily driver the sti wouldn't be bad but if you're trying to get some hp out of it I wouldn't waste the money. I think more people would be pumped to see the RS anyways plus it seems it's going to be a quick little car. so my choice would be the RS.

A guy at work has one of these, very different drive compared to the Evo. Lots of low down torque, nice car for sure!
