Thinking of selling my evo..
S2000's are actually gaining in price for good examples...probably due to the above.
I have only just gotten an Evo and it's stock, but so far it doesnt make me want to drive aggressively. It also sounds like any lame 4 cylinder. Any time I get in my S2000 I want to rip. My S2000 also sounds awesome as hell, which is something you will never be able to about an Evo that isn't full tilt built.

I disagree man. My friends X sounds like a diesel truck, with only boltons.
to me it sounds awesome as hell---o officer

For that price it would be salvage, high miles, beat, and kid owned. Or a combination of multiple.

you own a stock Evo, but you make this statement?
That doesn't mean I haven't been around modded ones. Turbo inline 4 with low redlines all sound flat and blatty until they have cams and 3.5 exhausts and alot more. Anything from 4g63 to sr20 to srt4 to boosted low redline Honda such as a B18B or sohc. Has nothing to do with mine being stock.
I agree that Hondas sound great at 8200-9000RPM, unless straight-piped.
My Evo sounds decent at full-tilt...but my idle and low RPM sound like a John Deer tractor, IMO LOL.
The AP1 screams @ 9k RPM. Very addicting!
Since Hondas only make power up top and rev so high, its tempting to drive around like that all the time.

hehe I have a friend who has a 9 rs but I doubt he will let me drive it. Because its his baby but maybe I can ask and see what he says. I don't know him all that well, he is more of an aquaintence at work. But we both like cars so maybe he will! Don't get me wrong vtec is far from boost! I love the power of the evo just the x feels so big and heavy.
May try an S1 or even an S2, now that I'm on a smaller turbo and spool would probably still be decent.
Then there's the cheap Cossies in the classified section....LOL
its just orgasmic on the over rev / between shifts...
