Thinking of selling my evo..

edit:
specifically talking on an s2k though, other honda engine's, while also can sound good, just don't compare to this... in my opinion, the car I heard in real life is second only to the Porsche Carrera GT for the noise I've heard out of anything short of a full on race car
No, that sounds terrible. I don't like how most 4 cylinders sound. Evo's also lose the sound I like about them (the rally car sort of growl) when they no longer have a stock frame turbo..
As mentioned before, this statement x 999999.
I have driven supercharged, N/A, tracked out s2k's with several different configurations. I enjoy them a lot, but I always felt safer and in more control next to the limit with the evo.
There's just something about s2k's that makes them kick out very easily and frankly I don't like that about them.
My 240sx, which is a stupid car for traction, felt safer than the s2k that was supercharged.

You have to be a GOOD driver to push an S2k to it's limit. That's what I like about it: the challenge.
Can I do it? Nope LOL. But I'll have to get better in order to make it perform well without wrecking it. I love a challenge.
One thing I have a knack for is modulating the throttle on the edge of adhesion. That's the ONE thing I haven't had to work at as much. I think that's why the Honda appeals to me. It will force me to test that theory and grow.
You know, like a big go kart. LOL

Try out a CT9A, you may really like it. I find myself going back and forth. Just depends what you want out of the car.
Good luck trying to find an unmolested CT9A for a sane price.
Sorry, any square or undersquare 4 cylinder engine revving to 7000 or below isn't going to sound like anything. The best one doesnt sound any better than the worst one. Add a turbo to the mix which further flattens the tone, you get nothing.

But a turbo upgrade means my stock clutch will probably give up pretty quickly!
Stock clutches can last a long time unless you're drag racing. In that case a new one is a really good idea. 👍

in my limited experience with 8/9 (basically test driving cars and driving friends cars), cams make a huge difference... one of very few parts that gain way more butt dyno hp than actual dyno hp... although they do pretty good with actual dyno hp too...
