I'd be all over that if I had an NA or NB...

I don't have the invoices any more, but it's not $10k.

**edit I want to say we did one for $5-6k, including buying most parts (as opposed to fabbing).
The swap kit was around $3500, engine $800, then other bits and pieces.

Not sure why anyone would do one of those redonkulious rear mount turbos when Flyin' Miata SC NC kits exist, are proven in Targa, and would make better curves.

Rear mount turbo should be smog compliant, since its after the cat, I believe? Particularly in CA?

A friend of mine had a momentary switch to spray methanol when things got warm.
That's crazy. I don't understand why an FI Miata runs so hot.

tiny front opening for air to get in and cool stuff. on NC models specifically the grill is misleading, the actual opening is about half the size of the grill. if you look closely at the pic below you can see that air only goes in the bottom half of the grill. cutting out the top half won't help any either cause thats where the bumper reinforcement is

and then the NA and NB models just have tiny openings without any misleading...
