If you can download tuning software, I would tune it yourself. It's not that hard, especially since you're keeping stock injectors. N/A stuff isn't too bad to tune. And it's way less finicky then a high strung turbo setup like an Evo..

I know my limitations... I'm really ok paying someone else to do the tuning for every car I own for the rest of my life.

Crap. I keep getting the letters mixed up LOL.
Never mind, assuming there's a big difference.

haha, yeah, different engine completely. the NC's have an MZR (pedestrian version of the engine used in lots of legit race cars like LMP2 and stuff), which is basically a Ford engine. And you can tune the stock ECU with Ecutek.

Most NA/NB Miata's go with some variation of Megasquirt, and there's a tone of community support for that. Where as next to nothing for the Ecutek on the NC's. But even if their was, I still wouldn't risk tuning it myself. I don't know the little in's and out's of tuning and engine and don't really care to learn. All I really know is AFR's and ignition timing...

ok, got the baseline dyno done... now I'm doubting a 20ish whp gain seeing my baseline number, I was expecting to be about 10 hp less. anyway, here are uncorrected, SAE, and STD numbers. the one starting at lower rpm is a 3rd gear pull and the other is a 4th gear pull

Sure it does. You'll see about a 10% power gain from it on an NA motor. Which is about the same as the 10hp that header is going to gain.
