Dude, the g35 is so much better of a performer that an IS, U really cant compare stock to stock. The G rolls on one of the best chassis on the market right now, and the interior? U can't argue the cheapness of a G when comparing to a IS. The seats in the G are WAY better, the controls for environment are better, the only cheap thing abot the G is the easily sratched center console trim. I drive an IS right now, and hate it compared to my evo. It's a want to be lux car that lacks alot and costs alot to. Yhe interior is PLASTIC the only leather is on the seats and doors, no wood trim, not very fancy in my opinion. Plus it's an undr performer. You look at the car and think fast, but when you take it to the road, it doesn't stick in the corners and cant keep up with much in a straight away. Someone previously said it can do 15.5 in the 1/4? The G can do it in 13's

The IS300 is a great car and will give you no troubles as to reliability. It is an awesome car but you will miss the power of the EVO. If you have an EVO, just keep your EVO. Theres nothing special about the IS300 unless your looking for some luxury. Performance wise, it's pretty slow. If you got some money to burn then look into the LS430. You get performance and pure luxury. If I was going into luxury, it would most definitely be the 2005 LS430. 290hp and 320ftlbs of torque(14.5 in the 1/4).
Absolutely no offense, but if you consider an IS luxury, I would guess you either have bad taste or you haven't really owned any luxry cars prior to the IS. The LS 430 is a beutifull big boat. Huge, powerfull and equiped with a gorgeous high end interior, with top of the line gadgets, a comepletely different worl than the IS. You must have some taste, but if I was going to spend that money, I'd go for a Mercedes clk 430, s 430, or a bmw 745. These all catch my attention quick, where as the LS 430, is easy to overlook, and if you care, no one can ever say that the mercs and bmers are glorified toyotas.

i dont know if this has already been posted. my girlfriend just picked up a new black IS300 fully loaded, its a good car to go on road trips, the seats get a little uncomfy if your 6" + . my neck usually starts to hurt, same w/ the wrx rear seats, the suck and hurt my ***. anyway why not a subie Legacy GT? they are pretty luxurious and have a 2.5 h4 Turbo. you can always remove the 200 cats and get a cobb flash. thing should haul *** while still maintaining luxury

yeah, acura is coming out with some pretty fast luxury versions. not as fast as the evo of course. but still enough poop to get out if the way. my moms TSX is sloooow, but very comfortable, navi, leather and all.

I love the 2 cars, there is a yellow IS with a body kit. that i would love to get together with and take some pics next to my yellow evo. Since this topic was started as a Evo or IS not Evo VS. IS, i will offer my opinion.

I looked at both cars, b4 I went out and got my Evo. Since im 17 it was, Sport or Luxury. Guess what, i dont give a crap about leather seats, they crack and get hot in the 115 heat I live in. As for ride comfort, im a kid what do i care, i wana go fast, legally, and look good doing it.

I went with the Evo and have gone threw my get the G35 or buy a used Vr-4, love those cars!, fase but i just came to realise, I am a 17yr old with a Evo, IM HAPPY! Follow your right foot and get the car you wana live with.

And PS i have a question, not to steel the topic but im woundering, what is with the people saying oh if I turboed my NA car I could smoke all of those STIs and Evos etc.? The fact is, the average person who drops $1500 into aftermarket parts cant afford to Turbo a car, it just doesnt happen that often, I dont think. So can we stop the "oh if it was turboed you would be smoked" cause the average or the majority can't afford to turbo a NA car, unless its a Civic or Tegra.

Thanks for listening just my .02

Lexus 300 is an entry level lexus its like buying an integra from acura really its just a toyota with a few nice trim things on it. After driving the Evo I for one would not be able to handle the lack of power lack of control lack of overall performance in the 300
