yea...he traded his G35 for a EVO...but would he do it for a IS300???? maybe he will...maybe he won't...i was just saying from MY expirence on the 2 cars...one felt pretty cheap (IS300) and one felt better (G35)...if i was to get a luxery sport seden...G35 will come to my mind first...and then maybe a Acura TL

Its sad when even a great car like the IS300 doest gain any respect in a car community. Honestly, look past the fact you own a Mitsu and be able to appreciate other companies designs. Regarding performance? The IS is the Altezza in Japan, and the suspension was calibrated on the IS to better suit Lexus buyers. Want a killer handling car, a call to Hotchkis is all you need. Either way, Ill take the IS in a heartbeat over my car......
uh...i was comparing G35 and the IS300...if i was to said that IS300 feel cheaper than a EVO...than i guess u can say that

u didn't have to...even if they r not comparing the IS300 to a EVO bout the cheapness...people can say that car is cheap if they don't find anything luxery about it...there's people that say a ferrari 360 is cheap (top gear's jeremy clarkson)...so wat...if it define cheap for them...then is cheap to them...and i m not tryin to start a flame wit u =)

I don't get people who buy the Evo's and then just trade them off like it's some econobox. Did you just join some Polo/Golf club where the Evolution isn't good enough?

About 2 months ago before i got my Evo, i saw a girl at a gas station gettin gas, she was driving a black Evo! she was pretty hot and driving an Evo made her even hotter! Anyway, we got to talking and she was telling me her borfriend had an is300 and they would occasionaly switch cars, her boyfriend loves the evo and always wants to switch and she really doesnt like the lexus so she hates when he wants to switch. She told me you'll love the Evo and she wouldn't trade it for anything especially an is300 she said you can't even compare the 2. And thats coming from a girl.

Now, after having my EVO for 3 weeks I know how right she is!

I say the EVO is safer... so i smoke crack?

Try drive both cars at 100 mph and slam on the brakes.. which do u think will stop faster?

Try drive both cars round a corner at 100mph... which do you think will lose grip and throw out?

Try overtake a 5 car line on a single lane carriageway with both cars.. which do u think will get u back into the proper lane faster?

Your examples are flawed. You're asking which is safer despite citing cases that are inherentlyUNSAFE. That's like saying which is safer, unfiltered cigarrettes vs filtered. Act itself is dangerous.

Pick which car is 'safer'. The IS w/ a Bondurant instructor behind the wheel vs an Evo w/ some 17 y/o Schmoe behind the wheel. Which car would you feel safer in riding as a passenger?

Safety is traditionally a measure of how well the car protects its occupant. You're judging safety by measuring its performance ability. Do you think that is a reasonable parameter for measuring safety? And if you say 'yes' to this question, then you must also accept that more power and higher handling limits also invites the driver to experience that more often, thus putting the driver in more frequent dangerous situations.

In the simplest of scenarios:
The Evo has front airbags, while the IS has front, side, and head curtain bags. If you were involved in a wreck, which car would you rather be sitting in?

Well... if i had the choice of cars driving anycar.. I'd prefer the car that gives me the little edge in avoiding an accident rather than a car than is prone to accidents but provides lots of safety barriers... prevention will always be better than cure... now how is that flawed?

wake up call

can we all wake up, the is300 is a poseur. Is it that hard to realize this fact? This car represents everything that is wrong with the automobile industry. HINT: better cars out there in the same price range. In my opinion if you have the luck to actually own an evo I believe you can drive thbe sonnuva***** and safety-wise, try to make a quick stop in an is300 and then look back and see if you can even see the EVO a mile behind you. Bye the way to everyone. What is the hottest upgrade to an evo. OH the JDM style tailights!!!! BYe the way, in JApan the is300 is known as the ALTEZZA or the shorthand for clear style tailights. HELLO?
