Looks like crap. I'd rather have the Honda Element since it's more versitile.

It looks like a car out of the original Godzilla movies ..... I can't understand why somebody would buy such an underpowered lunch box.

Oh my GOD!!! This is about the ugliest thing I have EVER seen. The only things that compete in the ugly scale is the Honda Element, Pontiac Aztec, and Ford Focus. I am more amazed that there are people here voting for this car as a positive remark at all. Who cares about head room when the car is that unattractive! When I think about myself picking up a girl in that, I chuckle at myself.

Why wouldnt it be popular with the chicks? It's got lotsa room in the rear to "get busy"

A convorsation I had with a friend who works at Toyota:

"So lemme get this straight"
"Yeah?"
"Toyota wants to appeal to the youth market with a 108hp mini-van?"
"Yup."
"I dont get it."
"Nor do I."

Looks are in the eye of the beholder, so there are going to be a wide variety of opinions. Please don't compare its looks to the Pontiac Aztek, which is universally hailed as the ugliest vehicle on the road. The xB is quirky and has a unique look, but there's no way it's ugly. It's just boxy. Saying it looks like a Honda Element is like saying a Hyundai Tiburon looks the same as a Toyota Celica. I like the fact that Toyota did something fresh and on the edge with the looks. They took a chance and it seems to be working for them in sales. Think of the xB as the anti-VW Beetle. Merge the two and you get a car with average looking sheetmetal.

Youths don't need more than 108hp to get around town. Their parents are probably happy about that.

The xB is classified as a wagon, not a mini-van (functionally, not by looks). I don't know why, it's the same reason why the PT Cruiser convertible is a car and all the rest are trucks.

The point of the Scion brand is that you can buy a cheap, high-quality vehicle and buy lots of options and accessories for them. It's Toyota's way of cashing in on a young person's desire to modify their car and make it unique. Of course, it's not necessary to buy their accessories, and the xB makes a great blank canvas for an aftermarket sound system installation.

I like the idea of putting it on airbags. How funny would it look, hopping and bouncing on them?

I like that thing. I think it's called a "db" over in japan. I've seen a black one with black tinted windows slamed to the ground with a set of crome 18" rims and it looked bad ***.

I like them...it would compliment the evo nicely...be great to lease it and insure it cheaply...have it handle all the jobs I don't want the evo doing (grocery store, cramped parking lots, etc)

I'm going with Honda Jazz/Fit when it comes out. Has driver oriented interior which I prefer.
