I work for Central Florida Toyota and I see Scions fly off the lot each day. Personally not my style or my taste...but as for as originality and quality, its a great car. For a vehicle that size...its has a huge amount of interior room...I feel like I am in a church when I sit in a Xb. Though Toyota's aim market for these cars was intended for the younger crowd but actually been selling to a middle aged crowd...and concept of it being a "accessorized" car which it was intended makes it more appealing. The Xa and Xb are not performance based unlike the Evo's! Now the Tc is coming out...which is a little more "performance" based it should be more popular for the "younger" tuners. I like them...they look good, and honestly its refreshing to see Scions than another Civic with another Body kit and big wheels and shopping cart wings. Scions are cool...its built with Toyota quality...and I make money off them selling their huge accessories line!

So i was at a bar last night and i parked my car near one of the Xb's. I was looking at it for a while and decided to take a dump next to it for comparison. so i was looking at the piece of crap for a while and then i was looking at the car. after about an hour i was having a really really hard time deciding which piece of crap i liked better....

I don't think Toyota missed the mark because I see a lot of older women driving them.

i think its nice. i am thinking of getting one sometime next year, use it as my daily driver. my evo just eats a lot of gas, and too many mustang and honda drivers try to race me almost everyday, wanna save money from gas and an eventual speeding or street racing ticket.

Maybe it's just Nor Cal but it seems like 90% of the scions I see are being driven by people over 50. So much for the "youth market"

I bought my wife an XB this past weekend. We love it. It's different.............. but I think that's a good thing. It is very roomy on the inside. I'm 6'3 230 lbs. and Ihave plenty of room with my wife and a 6yr old and a 4yr. old.

The only problem is I can't decide what I want to drive.......my Lancer or the XB.

I'm actually surprised at the fuel economy numbers for the xB, really. The thing weighs about 2400lbs, yet gets less highway miles than a Corolla. I actually would've expected it to more or less be in-line. Although as many said, it's meant more for city driving -- maybe its revving more in 5th on the highways than the old Corolla.

The xB is different. It's more like if Honda brought over the That's instead of the Element -- though I guess they would've had to rename it. It'd make a good grocery getter and for general utility. Not bad I guess, though I think the Mazda 3 5-door or Mini Cooper S still gets my nod.

Aerodynamics impact fuel economy, and one would expect the xB's coefficient of drag to be higher than a Corolla's. Look at the thing, it's a box with big frontal area.
