Looks like its a combination of the higher cD, as well as the fact that the xB's 1.5L is revving considerably higher at highway speeds compared to the Corolla's 1.8L. 35mpg isn't bad, though it'd be interesting if they offered a hybrid drivetrain, or a turbodiesel.

Or a hybrid turbodiesel, which we should start seeing before 2010, with fuel economy that'll make anyone think twice for their general commuter. I know Honda has one in the works, and has been clamoring something about approaching 90mpg highway for a mid-size sedan.

 

i love the xb! my bro just got one and its insane, if you do it right! theres a couple rollin in jersey that look sick as hell. and theres some "posers" if you will lol that could use a little bit of direction on hookin up their rides.

 

These are by far the ugliest cleanex box wanna-be cars I have ever seen they are slow as a 7 year itch they look like you kicked the **** out of a shoe box and threw a pathetic lil motor in it Who-ever designed this car must have been smokin crack or something worse and should be shot for discrasing the automobile industry with such a heap.

 

sorry not every car made is like your evo... if you really understood what the automobile industry is about you'd understand the purpose of these cars and you'd understand that there is a huge fad going on with cars like these in Europe and asia.

Tons of these things in So Cal, being released here before the rest of the US over a year ago. Give it AWD, 280hp, and I might think about it....

 

Speete has a good point ya know if they did put 300hp awd a new body a new interior a new ...... EVERYTHING the car might not be half bad just reverse pretty much every curve or lack of ... . and change out the.... oh **** it too much work just get a decent car.

My brother just got a manual green one, it's actually a pretty fun car, it's nothing compared to the evo but it's still a fun car for the money.

 

i really dont like either of them, maybe cause im a power hungry guy and 1.5 liter is small enough that i wouldnt be using liters to desribe it anymore id be using cc cause it should be on a cycle. but the scion i do like is the tc, if there is one thing i can say for all the scions though is there standards, with the abs and traction and such, good deal, i just dont like box like cars personaly

 

rarely really see tehm still, but did see a white oen today and it looked terrible, man they are pretty small too.

 

it's a bit too "boxy" for me personally but i still think the XB's PIMP as hell

 

It just reminds me of a box on wheels, but i know a lot of people who like that car, and plus with it u deff. get your moneys worth in extras.

The "pimped" Xb version from the factory is about the same price as a base Ralli///Art.....

Hell, with the year end sales event, the RA is the same price as the BASE model Xb.

108hp Toyota Toaster with wheels or a 165hp Ralli///Art?

the pimped out xB, xA and tC in 05 will have TRD or HKS Superchargers either or owners of Mitsu would have to wait till their warranties are up before they slap on any kind of FI Scion allows all their customers to mod the **** out of their cars off the lot and still be covered.
