the 4 stands for the number of cylinders...same as srt-10 (10 cylinders). i hope this helps.

I'm worried about all the kids that are going to wreck those things and give Modified cars a bad name (worse than now). At 20k every teenager is going to want one.

I wouldn't say muscle so much as machine gun punches. Ford's SVT compacts in the Contour and Focus both rocked/rock. While the Neon still will never shake it's image as a bug eyed wonder, this SRT is more than capable. Adjustable camber plates, reworked suspension, and the Mopar LSD is all it basically needs to be a dominant force. Yes, bag on it all you want for it's looks, the thing will still smoke a vast majority of the 4 bangers out there as well as some 6's. It has an awesome ECU that raises and lowers boost according to gas, air, humidity, etc.

IMO, i don't think we'll have domestic muscle cars for a little bit longer, but US companies are definately planning something powerful in the future.

I find it ironic that so many of us want a re-awakening of the muscle cars of yesteryear, while our nation is on the brink of war, largely because of dependence on middle-eastern oil. Don't get me wrong, I like muscle cars just as much as the next guy, but it isn't politically or environmently prudent to keep mass producing large engined sports cars, when we have the technology for more modern cars to be just as quick and even less expensive. Growing up can be a *****, can't it?

large engines & high HP do not always mean poor gas milage. My 5.0L 95 Cobra got better gas milage then my 2000 2.5L Outback. My friends Z06 gets over 20 mpg in town, as did my fd (unless I drove like an *** ) How many "traditional" sized cars (accord, camry, taurus, etc) get better milage then that? yeah, we could all be driving hybred civics, but what fun would that be?

I know the old school ones tend to guzzle gas but being able to stomp on the gas and just take off like that is what makes it all worth it. I miss my camaro sometimes.
