srt-4 is a great car just like alot of cars but there are always ppl who cant drive their cars and they make any car their in look bad. when my friend beat those srt 4's i told him those guys couldnt drive he kinda got pissed lol.

The things are poorly made. The guy was switching into 2nd (stupid for him to start in 1st I believe ) And the knob fell off! So we gave him another chance, but we whooped him again. :\

I think the main deal is, stock vs. stock srt4 cant touch an evo. A modded srt4 can touch an evo maybe even faster, put the same mods in the evo and bye bye srt4. Also AWD is a huge factor in both catagories. Simply, the reason the srt4 is 20k is because its FWD... AWD is not cheap, its expensive and reliable. If the srt4 was AWD than it be priced with the evo/sti maybe a lil bit more than the wrx. WRX is a better can than the srt4, why? Cuz AWD will cut threw the FWD instantly. The more power you srt4 stretch out of the FWD car, the worse traction you'll get, and less stable, engine faliure and then by srt4. Far as the car by itself, its fast, priced well but the body is horrible... the neon is the worst looking econ car out of the civic, lancer, focus etc. Atleast if dodge made a better body, than it wouldnt be so much called a neon with a turbo but more a new car... SRT4. P.S. Im willing to get a WRX for 24k other than the 21k srt4 because AWD will play a key role in modding the car in the long run. To each there own (like always said). Still srt4 will always be in the evo/sti/wrx shadow.

lol and you're going to sit and tell me an Evo is pretty?! c'mon different strokes for different folks and the SRT-4's motor is built alot better then most people think, 550 horse on stock internals is pretty strong wouldnt you think?, anyway i think you guys need a limpwrist for being a jackass, and realize the ESX has no comparison so stop comparing the STi vs Evo.

 

I probably shouldn't get into this but i've been reading and can't help myself...

I've worked on a couple SRT-4's, upgrading to stage 1's, and even some custom work. I definately respect them as they can be very fast. I also respect evo's as they are very fast and can be even faster. Discussing AWD versus FWD is a tough battle but i know the feeling of both and AWD is a huge advantage. I've also witnessed high hp FWD cars be driven so well that the car was accused of being AWD. I've even seen rules changed for racing classes to move AWD vehicles out of lower classes due to their abilities not being fairly matched to other vehicles in lower classes. However the driver they were trying to move up in class with that rule was in fact driving a FWD car so it backfired on them.

In the end the car is only as good as the driver. The neon is a great car, personnaly i don't like the body style. The evo is a great car, personnaly it's a bit overpriced for my taste. Everycar has potential though. Look at mine... i pull stock evo's on the highway and i've killed many SRT-4's from the line. But i'm an investor in my car big time. If i started with the power plant of the neon or evo i'd be even further. I think respect for both cars is deserved whether stock or modified. They are both great additions to the re-birth of the POWER CAR ERA!!

have you owned and evo or sti i have. i trade my sti for the evo.
lol ws6 i use to scalp them mullet mobiles in stage 4+ wrx all the time and my wrx would do more the just run a strait line.
