very familiar with the prht. i wasn't considering anything at all, just focusing on the mini, but for some reason the brz popped into my mind. fwiw the nc prht is the only convertible i'd consider at this point. i've owned the NA & the NB, and while i liked the nb (hated the na) i'm just not crazy about it. it would be nice to have this slow-ish rwd coupe to continue honing my driving for a few years

If you are looking an autox car, I would totally go for it. If just a daily, the FRS/BRZ twins suck all the things.
This is why I picked the Fiesta ST over the FRS/BRZ twins, twice. If had plans to track the car I would have probably gone with the FRS/BRZ.
They are only fun if you are ringing their necks out till they bleed.

I think its a great car and dual drove an FR-S 2013 which is prepped for STX just a few weeks ago. I was at a learning curve as I'm not use to the huge power loss as to what our Evos offer. I'm the least powered Evo of our ASP class by a long shot too. A couple of things I recall is the burnout launches were tricky at first but got easier as the event went on. The driver side front pillar was in the way for me and hard to get use to on Left handed turns. Also the nose is long and getting use to sitting low in the cockpit was very different. the size of the car or feel took some getting use to but get better as the day went on. I didn't cone that day and rarely do anyway. The car I was able to drive had a very good setup and I know I was spoiled. I finished second place in class to my co driver who was kind enough to let me drive his car. I managed to only loose by .700 faster than me. Overall I really enjoyed the experience. Also wanted to say, he claims the car is not a good daily but would prefer would prefer to be DD something else. One last thing, it seems to be the most common car at autocross these days!
Interestingly he was going to go for the Fiesta ST and got cold feet as he wanted RWD and not FWD..
I picked up a stock clean 02 Miata NB2 yesterday and would like to make the switch to ES next season. I'm trying to figure out if its worth doing or not.

You have the original one, right? My dad was pretty bummed to find out his 2003 R53 Cooper S is worth like $5k-$6k...lol. I'm like, its a 15 yr old...lol

lol! no i've got a '13, with about 25k miles. prob worth like 13, if i can get a buyer. the market is saturated with this gen though (07-13), and mine is kind of not what the average buyer would want (manual, no sunroof etc). custom valved bilsteins, etc etc. i'd need an autocrosser to buy it for max appreciation of value. i could trade it in but it would be a big hit in $. every day the brz calls my name a little more...

Do you owe a bunch on the mini? Or is it paid off and you were hoping to switch cars with minimal out of pocket to get the BRZ?
