I agree completely!

Found this bit

"Lee also confirmed that the C8 doesn't require any routine engine-out services—often an expensive bugaboo with mid-engined cars—and that the spark plugs and other ignition components, along with the accessory belts that are tucked up next to the passenger compartment at the front of the engine, can be accessed with the engine in place."

That's good info. The at home mechanic will just need to spend the coin on a good mat they can put over the quarter panels and engine so they can comfortably lean over into, or lay in, the engine compartment without scratching painted stuff or getting poke in the stomach.

I would imagine major engine work will be engine out. Especially a camshaft. On a front engine vette everything has to come out of the core support for the cam to come out. In a mid engine car, the firewall is right there, and its not removable lol.

I agree completely on the supercharger mod path for all the modern V* cars. The dollar per HP gain can't be beat, and you can always run a bigger pulley got less boost if less power is desired.

The firewall could have a removeable panel for engine access, its been done before. Pull the seats, pull the panel, and there's the engine. It would be sweet.
