My new .:R32
My new .:R32
Well, last thursday, i traded in my Lancer for a VW R32. I am very very happy with my decision, but i do say, i miss the lancer, and always will. It was hard to say goodbye to her, but i did.
I just wanted to say thanx to everyone on this forum for being such good people and helping me out with lancer problems and such. This is definitly the best community of people on the net, by far! I have moved over to two new forms, one of which most of you are aware of im sure, vwvortex.com, and the other is brand new and looking for members, r32owners.com so come check it out!
I will not be leaving ya'll completly, im sure ill still be on the forum daily, kinda hard to just leave. I also still wanna come to some meets!

I must say that I really liked driving the R32 when I test drove it. The car handles great out of the box, has an awesome interior and the sweetest engine sound (intoxicating).
I wish it had only better throttle response and more power...

sweet ride, how do you like the breaking, i hear there is some noticeable fade at high speed braking.? just wondering! enjoy the new ride! golfs have a lot of tuning potential, i look forward to hearing what kind of numbers you will be pulling in a year!

Bitnode - It looks great. I really love those cars. I actually had one on pre-order, but the ship date kept getting pushed back, so I said forget it. I would love to drive one - I've been hoping we'd get an AWD Golf since the V6 4Motion...
Very sweet car... been waiting so long for the R32... got my Evo instead last year, but I went down and looked at an R32 a few weeks ago.. NICE!. Great choice and enjoy! Even though I love my Evo, part of me is jealous... wish I could afford both!! nice car, plenty fast and that interior is so sweet.
I love this car, but after all the problems I've had with my wife's 99 Jetta, I am very turned off by VW. I did alot of research when my wife's car was crapping out, and apparently there are alot of people VERY angry at VW right now.
For instance, my sister has a VW GTI 1.8T, and had to get some kind of software upgrade for the turbo. This upgrade wasnt optional, the car wouldn't run correctly without it, but it wasnt a recall. They wanted her to pay for it, I dont remember how much exactly, I think ~$300. That is bull****.
Also, she had to have the throttle body replaced TWICE.
I'm curious if the new engine they are using in the R32 will suffer the same woes as the 1.8T... and if VW will be equally unwilling to take responsibility for producing ****.
::steps off soapbox::
but dont get me wrong, it is a sweet car! grats
