Only thing that would make it interesting is if it was a new tech hybrid vehicle...... but sincerely doubt it will materialize.

Realistically, the dying generation of STI and Evo represents the genre of sportscars that has all the bling except horsepower. While I personally appreciate an AWD manual homologation rally car, the market doesn't agree with me. The market demands that a sportscar needs to have a ton of horsepower, and at the same time not fuel-guzzling for daily driving.

That's why as consumer spending tightens and the oil price spikes, what's dominating the sportscar segment has been American muscles.

Yea I agree with this point. Now that they killed the ICE STI the only ICE the STI will ever be known for is EJ25. If the STI is brought back on an electric platform then it competes with the Tesla Model 3 Performance and the Lucid Air. I feel like that going to change the price range of the STI.

2030-2022 is going to show us how well Japanese companies can change their current offerings and switch over to electric.

The car market is becoming more divided, not coming together in the current time. One side is going towards the electric cars like Tesla and Lucid, and the other side is going towards the analog cars like Bronco and Mustang.

Both those Ford models you mentioned are already electrified or will be soon.

Japanese car manufacturers are becoming lazy. The new WRX looks awful with the Rubbermaid fenders. But the GR86 and BRZ are fully Japanese and still super sexy to me.
