Need build help

I have been with my Evo for 4 going on 5 years now
I haven’t even driven the car yet , I got it as a roller but previous owner included his whole build and even said he’ll finish it for $ , so I got the car . Little did I know I would still have it in the garage til today , any ways my need for help lies here , I got the car built for a 6766 FF setup , I was young and dumb so I wanted it , as I got older and just had no Evo I realized all I what is the damn car to run , now I already got stock intake mani , stock 9 turbo & oem manifold , thing is - it he car is on 2150cc injectors , S2 cams , 2.3L stroker , radium 2 450 Walbro .
so I never even owned a Evo so I really woukd just like some insight , my goal is to just have a dam car I’m not gonna lie and a more reliabke one since I’ve been waiting . My plan is to just drop everything but at the same time I’m already wasting money so I’m kinda buying things that allow me to go bigger turbo in the future and push around 500 wheel .
im gonna go. 1200cc , 1x 450 , stock ecu , 9 turbo

i still need to buy a radiator and stuff like that , I guess my question is it worth it to just buy everything new or should I just go buy used ? I dont mind buying new but I do mind buying all new and having a car that just gives me issues . I guess this just depends on the car but if anyone has any tips on a more reliable Evo that still rips please lmk ! And is it worth it to own an Evo ? it’s been 5 years and I’m just holding on to my old dream

You'll be fine with the fuel system, cams, and stroker setup. My only comment would be on that evo 9 turbo. I'd personally look at something a little different there.
You don't mention what you have for the exhaust manifold but either a stock frame setup or a smaller whatever on the FF setup would probably be the route I would look to go.
That little 9 turbo is going to choke that poor 2.3.

I just bought a Evo 9 turbo and oem manifold , I was planning on just running it for a little while to just learn the Evo and then choose what turbo / setup I wanna run .
this is why I don’t even want to waste $ on a downpipe because I wanna go SS housing FP Red eventually.
but I don’t wanna waste all that $ now incase I just don’t feel the car or some thing and I wanna sell it
which I doubt

Get an MHI Red or black. Skip the SS housing, worse spool for only slightly more top end. Same downpipe and everything as the 9 turbo. But I still wouldn't suggest that 9 turbo. Its going to really choke the car.

Forsure man thank you , I already have 2150cc injectors and a aem series 2 ecu . Should I just keep it and use it with a FP red setup ? Or just go 1200 cc stock ecu ?
and for downpipe I’m looking at Either the artec 3.5 dp which costs a nut but idk maybe it’s worth it or the STM recirculating downpipe

I would keep everything you listed and do what this smrt guy said lol. Honestly if you go with the black then 2150s will give you good power band to work with. If you go with a red or something that size then I would go down to 1700 or 1800s and that way you still have overhead. With the 2.3 I would stick to the black being it will help with the extra displacement and help push the powerband to the right some and help your top end. Another thing and I know most people not like this but trust me you will be happier is get rid of the stock ecu and go to something aftermarket. Way more stuff to tweek and way more safety features then the stock ecu. Plus the car will run better and your part throttle will be much happier then it ever has on stock ecu. Just my .02
