did the Toyota AE86 ever come to the states?

Thanks RollerPyro, and Bobaab. I talk to my dad about getting this car, and he is ok with it. On monday or tuesday i hope, i am going to the dealership and locate one.

well, i havent got a chance to locate one, but i did find out the stock GTS motor is around 120 HP, FYI

Well i found one, for $800, has 150,XXX miles, a little rust, what kinds of things should i check for to make sure its still in ok condition?
