Ok... I see Ferraris all the time (live near Ferrari of Washington + countless internet millionaires) but lately I've seen a Yellow Gallardo around, and I've got to say, as perfectly designed as the 360 is, even the "budget" Lambo trumps it for sheer exotic-ness... Sure, the Enzo and f-50 are unbelievable, but when do you see those except on Gotham Racing?

I have always thought lambo for one particular theory. I always thought the Ferrari looks back at you and says "Run me as hard as you can and I'll still be smiling." While the lambo stares back and says "Try me *****, you can't handle it."

Forget Lambos and Ferrari's....try out a Lola B2K/40 prototype w/a Judd engine, or its big sister, the Lola B160- now those are cars! The Audi R8 is no sloutch either (duh) but I don't have the connections to that that I have to the other two.

Anyway, I'd choose Ferrari. For those of you who were discussing which sounds better, I have video with pretty good sound quality of both Krohn-Barbour Racing Lambo Murcielago R-GT's and the Risi Competizione Ferrari 360 Modena from the ALMS at Lime Rock, Sonoma, and Portland (and Mosport after next weekend). I'll get them to anybody who's interested just lemme know (I don't have the files up anywhere yet cuz theyre too huge right now).

Lightbulb Ferrari!

This is extremely difficult. I'd say ferrari though, just because of what they sound like at full throttle on a race track. Can you say WOW?

Nothing lambo makes is going to hang with the Enzo... even the mercuciago isn't going to hang with the 650hp V12 monster that tops out over 230 mph don't get me wrong the lambo is a hella sweet car but Enzo is just one step ahead ... not to mention a step ahead in price 400k vs 650k over 50% more

This means that much like Honda engines (yes, Ferrari use a V-Tec like system) the Ferrari will have a smaller, thinner powerband and infact will make it slower around a track...
Slower around the track? have you seen Michael Schumacher lately.

I remember reading in Car and Driver a few years back something like "A Ferrari is like the nice girl you can take home to your parents, whereas the Lamborghini is the wild **** you just have fun with on the side." Think about it. The Murcielago comes in hideous factory colors that only a teenage NBA millionaire or lottery winner would ever want. Ferraris come in red or black, and occasionally yellow, white or silver. Its about respectability. A rosso Ferrari exudes class. A lime green or orange Lambo screams "check me out, I just got my insurance settlement check." Its hard to think of a 280,000 dollar car being trashy, but a purple Murcielago seems to somehow pull it off. For me, Ferrari all the way - the new 430 in black, please.

When I was at MotorSport ranch last weekend doing a Driver Education event a brand new Gallardo had a small engine fire. From talking to people there I guess he had a small leak in a fuel line, it dripped on his headers and caught fire. Needless to say he was on a flatbed the way home.

My vote is for Ferrari
