you should never ship an item until the money is in your bank account.

Is this an EvoM member/scam, or just some random thing? The name didn't come up in a member search.

I know of at least one other member who received the same fake pay-pal email. Please PM me the person (s) (Evom screen name) who sent you a PM asking for info about your sale immediately prior to the receiving the email. Thanks.

ditto. I'm the other guy. Reported it in, cause it just didn't seem right.

Paypal noted they'd contact me if they needed any more info for prosecution. They've obviously been tracking this guy for a bit.

He wanted to buy the DLI i have up for sale. wanted it overnighted. Sure, no prob. Send him the invoice, got the same scam email, called paypal, they confirmed it was fake (although the fake email was DAMN good. )

Hope he loves the butt-raping he'll get in ***-prison.

According to one member who received the fake email, the email contained a direct link to pay-pal. This could be a phishing attempt to get pay-pal log-in information as the shipping address appears to be bogus. For those involved, do you know how he/she got your email address. Was it posted on the forums as part of your ad? If not, can you provide a PM containing that info?

For all those involved, I would highly recommend changing your log-in information for pay-pal.

mine didn't link to paypal, as a log-in type thing. It linked to an email address as the location to send the "tracking number". You're aware of what member I gave my email address to.

Please do not post personal information such as name and address. It could be a real person not involved in this scam. Please PM me any personal info you received concerning shipping address etc. Thanks.

I think thats a match.

Speedlimit, you (or I) need to forward that user name, and IP addresses to PayPal, regarding the scam.
