Need some input on a sell
Ok, so I sold a STM UICP on JAN.9 shipped to Canada, Sold it for 200$ shipped because he insisted that he would not pay more. Well costed me 58$ to have it shipped.
Few weeks went by, he received it saying it had a scratch on the lower section. I noted that my other UICP had a scratch to from rubbing idk if this is common but both of mine rub on the under side of it which has never been a issue aside from it cosmetics but you cannot see it.
So he wants a partial refund after me basically selling it for 142$ and the low ball offer I accepted.
After I told him it's not going to hurt performance he now says it has a dent where the curve to the throttle body section is now. This was not even possible because I have picture's from the night I removed it and they are even posted on the forum. And complaining on it not coming with a intercooler coupler which I told him I did not even receive when i first got the UICP
I told him to check with the postal service that it could have been damaged through customs. Well he didn't want to have it and wanted a refund. I told him to ship it back to me and I'll give him the refund asap. He said no he doesn't want to pay for shipping back he wants me to refund it then ship it back.
This is not my first ball game, He need's to send it back to me first and then I should refund it. If not who's to say he won't keep it after I refund his money correct? Paypal will make him pay for shipping back anyways so IDK why he is insisting on me refunding it first.....
Am I correct? sounds like someone trying to rip me off as usual .
I mean Me 28+ > 2 sells . He just need's to send it back I don't have time for whiny people and don't have patients for morons trying to squeeze every dollar bill out of a sell....

I would ask him to send pics to you of the uicp and the box that it came in. He should send it back if he is truly unhappy with it and assuming he is not trying to scam you. My .02 on the start of all of this is you shouldnt have sold it if you were not getting your asking price. You stated already that you got low balled on the deal, now maybe he is trying to take advantage you but lets hope not. Good luck and hopefully you get some pics

The Dent was definitely not there before I sent it out it has a line scratch and then a ding like it had been smashed back into the box by customs. He said that it was not damaged through shipping but he cannot be 100% sure of this. IMO either he damaged it to be able to return it or else it happened through transit. I have my own picture's the same night I removed it and then packaged it and there is no ding at all.
As you can see there is no ding on the curve next to throttle body:

^^This, i absolutly NEVER sell to canada or internationally EVER on here or Ebay.
I dont care if the item would never even sell, i still wouldnt ship out side the US.
THe odds of something going wrong is FAR to great, and to many scammers. They know the shipping is expensive and it works for there advantage in getting money back for "Said damaged items" Cause they see it as "partial refund for the damage<shipping it back price"
Plus the time and effort in shipping thru customs, just not worth it at all IMO.
The same pipe shipped in the US here would have MAYBE been $12 bucks to ship, with Tracking number and signature

Hope everything works out like said before. Didnt realize it till now but I bought your trunk lining off of you back in the summer and I was pleased with everything. Sucks people have to go through this and I think more people go through this than needed.

I wouldnt refund anything until you get pipe back.I doubt he will send pipe back hes just trying to get money back from you.I mean he got a steal of a deal already.whats hes name on here so everyone can steer clear of this clown.
It does look like there is a slight indention near the inside of the 90* elbow at the throttle body. Does he have any pics?
No matter, It would not hurt performance. Sound like you are doing the right thing. Even being cool by allowing him to send it back for a refund. I see no reason for you to issue a refund first or pay for return shipping.

He now gave me a bad review as to me not wanting to refund his money before he returned the UICP. If any moderator could chime in I would appreciate it. I do not what my name scrubbed from someone who is just trying to make extra money off me.
