Here is the bet that has been placed. No EVO on street tires, full interior, and on stock tranny can run a 12.2 or better.
The guy placing the bet will pay for your hotel + dinner and after you run the 12.2 or better will pony up $500 bucks.
this is the offical bet in quotes...
I'd take him on the bet but my EVO is pushing 350WHP but I'm not a drag racer never have been. I'm sure some of you here would be more than happy to take his money.

In fact, I will raise my bet to 500 dollars, that a 350 hp EVO on a stock tranny and street tires, will not run 12.2. If anyone would like to take this bet, I will resever a night at the Exeter Inn for this person in Exeter NH, (New England Dragway is 10 minutes away in Epping). thestanton or anyone can come up, pay the 17 dollars to get in the gate (Do not forget your helmet if you're running faster than 14.00), and I'll give them 3 passes to try and break 12.2. If they suceed, I'll buy them dinner at the track, and pick up the tab at the Exeter Inn, and they go home a half a grand richer.
If they fail, they pick up the tab at the Inn, and don't get free dinner, and owe me 50 bucks for my time.
I'll extend this deal to anyone with an EVO with a stock tranny on street tires (any hp amount), who thinks they can run 10.5 or better, as stated above by thestaton.

Keep in mind that this guy didn't say NO EVO could run 12.2 or better on those things...he said 10.5 or better. The 12.2 challenge is for any 350hp Evo on stock tranny and street tires. I will be doing 12.2 or better easily, but is he referring to 350 crank or wheel hp? With the dp/tp and some race gas, I'll probably be over 350 to the crank, but definitely less than 350 to the wheels. Another problem is that he said New England Dragway in NEW HAMPSHIRE, not NJ...

For those of you who dont know, cecil county is northeast maryland and has a severe redneck reputation. Rising Sun is like the county seat which is basically a cluster of liquor and furniture stores where the local utility company (Armstrong) rules everything with an iron fist and is run by the local chapter of the KKK.
Not that I'm accusing anybody of that, but the confederate flag as a profile on someone from rising sun is too much.
