I bought my LY evo 8 there back in May. So far I have had absolutely no problems with it This was Drive 1 we are talking about right? My car is fine. I saw a blue one, but it had too many miles for me. If it is indeed Drive 1, the will give you a copy of the most recent carfax report. They even got one for me spacificly that same day. Not that bad of a bunch of guys. Traded my a4 in to them for a loss, and they gave me way over KBB for it. They even let me pay them the down payment in monthly installments interest free! Not too shabby IMO. Get with Steve from Drive 1, and just sit down with him. He is the manager. If it is the place next to Drive 1, they are very shady, beware. I am in the military too. You can still get good deals, if you are very careful and insure you finance outside of the dealership. USAA has awsome rates, even if your credit isn't the best. So, all in all, Drive 1 isn't bad. Just ask for a carfax report. Hope this helps clear some stuff up.

If you haven't already gone yet, look at the right rear qrtr where it meets with the bumper. Just be very carefull.

I went today and took the blue evo for a test drive, didnt notice anything until i sat down to crunch numbers and pulled the total loss carfax out. i dont know what is messed up but a salvaged title total loss is a deal breaker for some one like me who doesnt know alot about engines and would not be able to spot the problems

i was a subie mechanic and what alot of guys and gals used to do is take the car on a test drive and take to a OFFICIAL dealership (us) from them small dealerships and pay for an inspection. its a small price in finding whats wrong, hell u may get them to strike a deal to get it cheaper cause u know whats wrong with the car and u tell them whats up. i drive around with a OB1/OB2 scanner and hook it up to cars just to start my inspect process. lol thats something u can try if u want to know further whats up with that certain car, and also if they will let u take the car by urself for a certain time.

Anybody in the Tidewater Area have some stock struts (blown is fine as well) or springs laying around? I have to send a coilover off to be rebuilt, and don't want to have to car taking up shop space. Just need enough to keep mobile. I need the passenger rear btw.

Gary gets some good meets going when the weather is nicer. He even throws a BBQ every once in a while.

dont ever look at stuff from drive 1 or the place next to it. I had a couple of my boys work there a year ago, hell no. stay away!

I was selling mine, but found a gt35r, intercooler and clutch for a hell of a price. now I just need to find a good shop for the clutch install. anyone have any direction for that?

I got a tarmac black evo that i will probably be selling soon. It has a fully built motor and should be making close to if not over 400whp on the stock turbo after i get it tuned after next weekend. If your interested, let me know.
