Anybody here who has changed their whole intake? I.E. like to the hks rs intake kit that comes with the maf pipe piece, filter and etc.. My friend was driving his car today and when he punched it, this piece flew off. We didnt know what was wrong, thought his bov was just acting weird, but he said when he got home he popped his hood and this piece was missing. I can't name the piece because I don't know what it is called, but there is a chrome looking metal piece that plugs up where the intake piece goes into and that piece flew off.. I have a really small pic of what he took and emailed me to with his cell phone.. If you can download the pic and blow it up a bit, you guys will know what I am talking about. Does anybody here have an extra of these lying around, if you changed your whole intake you should have this piece off because you wouldn't need it if you did that.. Please gimmie a pm or leave a msg on here asap, because he needs a car to drive since the evo is his only for now. Thanks

pic isnt that good. are you talking about the piece in the intake that connects to the vacuum line from the boost solenoid to the intake? either way why dont he just put his stock intake back on, its not like he is really gaining anything from that intake.

Did it at the autohobby shop on base. It took about 20-25 hours. The longest part was just trying to figure out how to get the damn tranny out of the engine other than that everything else went pretty smoothly. If I had to do it again I could probably do it in roughly half the time.
