Hi. I am trying to buy an Evo to export somewhere close to Virginia Beach. I am in Iceland so I won't be able to look the car over myself.

Is anyone here who either would be prepared to look the car over for me or give me information on how to contact a decent mechanic in the area?

What I am mostly concerned is if it is in anyway modified or more importantly had the mods removed again. Also I hear you guys have had some trouble with the clutch and syncros.

The car price will be double, once it gets here so I´d better buy the right car!

 

Since you live in Europe you'd be better off buying it from somewhere in the UK...take less time to ship and you would get a higher HP Evo

 

it takes about 3 month to get it to Iceland, I'll be graduating in about 3 month. perfect timing. i can't offord to get it any sooner. the price is lower in US also.

so does anyone know how I can sort this problem out?

 

If you are buying the car anywhere near DC/MD/VA area, you can have the car towed to www.amstuning.com. Atlantic Motorsports is their name, they are pretty good and they know evos pretty well. I am sure that they can go over it for a reasonable price. Then you can ship it over to UK via Virginia Beach. Good luck.
