Md Emissions

The time has finally come for me to get the test. Anyone know someone that works for any emissions places in MD? I really don't want to take my car back to stock just to pass.

YO! Go to the Emissions in Clinton MD or in Silver Spring MD. They dont care what your car has. I went to the clinton emissions and they didnt even do a visual check. I have the DC Sport DP w/ cat delete and I PASSED. I was the LOUDEST Car there and I passed with no prob. I do have the O2 Simulator by Perrin on there so I get no check engine light. Oh BTW where the hell is Charm City?

Guys, he has an AEM EMS; they do OBD2 scan for the "PASS NO CHECK ENGINE" in Maryland; unless he puts his car back to MAF setup he'll have no luck. All they test for is "NO CHECKENGINE LIGHT" on the Evo stock ECU; if no OBD2 device is found it is a fail.

Just give the guy $20 or $50 and he will pass you if you fail. I did it in my 93 mustang it had no cats and was loud as $hit

I have an EMS and I had to put the stock computer back on. Like AMS stated, If your computer in not throwing codes it will pass just fine. I didn't undo any of the MODS except the EMS. I still have the original plug inline so that I can swap them out with ease. If you aren't throwing any codes with the stock computer you'll be fine. I got mine tested in Columbia.

dont mean to bring this thread all the way back, but i'm just curious about trying to pass since i too have AEM EMS in Frederick, MD. since i have no MAF setup, will i throw a code for that if i replace my AEM with stock ECU?? I will probably have to replace my o2 sensors, but other than that, im just wondering what else might need to be updated. i'm also assuming that ill need a perrin o2 simulator.

Freddursticus....what did you have to go to the office for? were you reporting to test or just finding out info? anyone know what offices dont have awd rollers?

no, my EMS disabled the light, so i dont have a clue. I think i have to go back to MAF as well, since my ems is set up for speed density.

i talked to the emissions people and their line is that it HAS to be OBD II and if its non functional or whatever, its an automatic fail. i think i'll begin the process of flashing my stock ecu and just see what codes i'm throwing.

anyone know if i need stock fuel pressure regulator on to pass emissions?

my thought is to flash stock ecu, probably buy a perrin o2 simulator and a code reader....good idea?
