16yr.old gets EVO VIII in VA!!

This is whats up....
My neighbor who just finished learning how to drive stick, actually got his parents to buy him an EVO for $36,000!!! Im so pissed!! He's only 16!! It gets worst...his dad and him dont know sh*t about the car. I asked the his father have you played with any of the switches yet like the headlight aiming switch or the intercooler switch. He was like"where's that?" Then he said"What does that do?" Im like wtf!! I cant believe what i'm hearing. And you guys know what he drove before he got this car....one of them old mitsubishi minivans!! What pisses me off even more is now i cant f*ckin win against him in a race. Im just hoping he screws up his transmission!! LoL

Sorry to say this but you guys might see another wrecked evo becuase of more stupid young drivers.

further proof life isn't fair. some of us work our butts just to afford a lancer but deserve and evo, others are handed an evo, but deserve a lancer.

*sigh*

all in all, that's one lucky kid. i just hope he realizes how good he's got it, takes care of his car, and doesn't drive like an idiot. personally, i give it 3 months tops before his first accident.

1) This is his second car...So he obviously has driving experience.
2) For all you know...He could be a very careful driver.
3) If his Dad has the money to buy him the car, why wouldn't he purchase it for his son. Is there something wrong with purchasing a vehicle for your son?
4) If you give me this "I had to work for my ****ing 89 CRX."... your an *******, plain and simple. People said the same thing to me when my dad purchased my first car. Now i'm twenty, 3rd year of college, making insurance payments, making 31k dollar car payments and I have paid every semester bill out of my own pocket. But, the same *******s still want to say my dad bought the car for me... So **** them!

I think its a bad idea but thats without knowing the person and only going by the statistics where car crashes are the leading cause of death for somebody his age. At 16yrs old he's a couple times more likely to have an accident then even an 18yr old.

and while i'm thinking about it, that "don't hate the player, hate the game" is responsibility ducking BS which doesn't even apply here.

its like saying "don't hate the dealer, hate the drugs".
