The saddest part is that they've so rude to me each time...

Talk about rude.

I didn't even tell you the best part of when this guy pulled me over. Like I said before, he was a state trooper. He gets outta his car in his civilian clothes. He had his baseball cap on backwards and crooked, no exxageration, ganster style. Had on baggy basketball shorts and some kinda game jersy. Not slamming anyone who dresses like that or trying to sterotype, but this guy is supposed to be representing the state.I mean come on, show a little professionalism.

So after he gets outta his car he walks to his trunk, opens it,gets out his gun and sticks it in his WAIST BAND then puts his neckless/ swat team style badge on.

I'm watching all this in my rear view, thinkig WTF does this guy think I'm doing, smuggling gold for the Arabs or something. I could almost understand these precautions, but this is in the afternoon on the way home from work. I have my military uniform on which I know he saw, because he pulled up beside me before pulling me over and looked right at me.

Then he walks up to my car, flashes his badge and procedes be a complete ***** for the entire conversation.

Moral of the story douch-bags like that give the good cops a bad name.

It's not required in DE. Hell, if you find an old stainless steel tag, you can pay someone to refurbish it and put it on your car.

I'll post a picture of mine later.

well ive had my car jst about 3 months...and ive never had a front tag on. i drive 5 over while cops pass the other way etc....i was doin 80 down the interstate(65mph limit) and a cop was right behind me...i was swerving in and out of traffic to avoid slowing down....he was right behind me doin the same thing..this lasted 3 mins til i turned off on my exit..he just kept on goin lol, and i had my tip on...so it looked like an exhaust but he did nothing lol.

i do fast lane changes etc and cops come towards me seeing this and i dont have a front tag and they don't do anything...so until i get pulled over for it...it will never go on!! NEVER!!!

Well here is Cali. we are required to have 2 plates. one in the front and one in the back. For those people in different states that think you can put a JDM plates in the front....well here in Cali. they both have to be the same plates. Also in my opinion, putting your plates on the dashboard looks ghetto.

I'm in Virginia, bought EVO in North Carolina which has no front plate requirement. Front bracket is still in trunk along with 2nd plate. If stopped I will simply tell officer that I bought car out of state and haven't been back to dealer to have bracket/tag installed which is truth.

It worked on a Pontiac I bought in WV. After I was given a warning, I went ahead and put the front plate on the Pontiac as officer said he would be watching for me and give me a ticket next time .

A friend of mine, also from Virginia, left his front plate off his C5 Corvette. He was stopped on a rainy day by a state trooper who issued him a ticket despite the fact that he had the tag behind his seat and offered to put it on. Trooper said that due to the rain he didn't want to run radar and if the heavy I-81 traffic saw him with someone pulled over it would slow traffic down. Cost my friend like $35 and he still hasn't put his front plate on .

Interesting to note, you do not have to have a front tag or tag bracket to pass safety vehicle inspection in Virginia .

This is what i did with mine...i've made 4 others for people...no1 gets tickets...(in fact i've had more than one conversation with ex. troopers and current cops they all like the idea)...they say i've got the most of it there and say they would never pull me over for it...one cop had pulled me over and given me a ticked for it a year ago (75bucks) then about 4 months later saw me at a gas station with it in the same fashon and said "I like you so i'll let i'll let it go after he goes and checks my record" anyway i havnt had anything for it yet cops do take a look at it when they pull me over for other stuff and never do anything about it anyway here it is....
