In my opinion...

Dan's an amazing mechanic, extremely detail oriented, has great people skills, he's great at troubleshooting, and I'm sure he's going to do great work on tuning as well.

Besides, why would AMS jeopardize their reputation by putting someone who would suck into that role?

I am a risky person. I am going to give Sean a try. He normally isn't open on Saturday's and he is being nice by taking time out of his own schedule to do my install and tune. Plus, I already payed a $50 deposit (Not really the reason). I will have the car logged when I am done and see what that looks like.

I'm not going for an extremely aggressive tune so I am not too worried about it. I think a lot of shops get bad reps by word of mouth more than the people actually going there. Every shop has it's bad stories.

For those out there that really like Mikes tunes (quite understandably mind you) I'm sure he's not GONE gone... just probably somewhere else. Most likely, it won't take long before the whereabouts of that somewhere else is known. Then it won't be that hard to keep him as your tuner. FYI, I only say this cause I can wholeheartidly understand how there could be many people that simply do not like changing tuners. It's a resonable request that you shouldn't need to give up so easily. You may have to comprimise by following him elsewhere though. And to some, it would be worth it. But honestly, someone like Mike... just up and quit tuning all together? I could be wrong.. anything is possible... but I highly doubt it.

I agree. I don't see someone with that reputation just quitting forever. That is why I asked if anyone knew where he went.
