What are the advantages of living in va as opposed to anywhere else?

there are no advantages to living here. well actually 1. you need a new suspension and rims after a year of driving on the roads down here in Norf@ck. wait thats not a good thing.

 

Sorry, but I have a hard time adjusting to stupid. To me it's like the stupid "no child left behind" garbage. If we continue to allow people to be retards and not let natural selection do it's job, then we're eventually going to be overran by retards. Don't believe me? Look at the Illinois state government.

 

Yeah, but what can you do? I mean, you can't pull over every driver and say "quit acting like a f***face"... And going up behind them and honking or flashing brights is just going to make them more belligerent. It's like I tell my wife, just act like everyone else on the road doesn't know what the hell they're doing, and drive accordingly. In other words, assume that everyone else is going to do the wrong thing in any given situation, and just preemptively take control of it. I'd love to spend my life crusading and teaching people how to do everything, and cursing at them when they don't, but I've got way better things to do

I'm convinced that you're right, and we're headed toward a combination of Wall*E and Idiocracy, and I'm pretty much just gonna ride it out I live a very comfortable life, and I'm generally good to other people, so why am I going to get worked up about anyone else? Some moron on the road will be in my life for about 20 seconds, and then he's gone, and we both go on with our lives.

And there are a lot of great things about living in VA, but then I'm only speaking for the DC area. Southern areas of VA are beautiful, but it's a whole different ballgame! I do wish we had more Sonics and Zaxby's up here, though

i actually believe there is a traffic violation for going slow in the left lane. i think it might be some sort of obstruction of the flow of traffic. if not, then there should be one

 

There is. That's why there are signs that say "keep right except to pass" and "slower traffic keep right" all over the interstates. The problem is, people can't read.

 

oh ok. well one point for me. i am a lil smarter than the people down here in va since i sorta knew that. haha.

 

Maybe I should have elaborated on why I hate VA. They make me pay property tax twice a year, on my vehicle and on a house I don't have or have ever had. 4 times now I've had to go down to the courthouse to explain to them that I'm in the military and don't have to pay their stupid property tax.

The fact that I got pulled over 3 times within a 2 day period. Yes, the cop let me go, but it was a hassle to begin to with. I'd like to see the laws on "illegal" exhaust. I still have my stock cat and downpipe, and I'm definatly not breaking any sound ordinances. My tint is stock. I could have easily thrown my tag onto my dash and voila - it's displayed, but I didn't think he'd be that much of a ***** about it.

I hate virginia because it's the only state I ever get any tickets in and I've been all up and down thw east coast. I drive from maryland to Florida several times a year, and from Maryland/Virginia to Ohio several times over the last 7 years. Every single ticket I've ever gotten in my life has been in virginia.

I'm done with that state. Switching my tags and license over to Ohio and I'll be a ghost in virginia.

Even doing that is a violation of VA law. They don't want anything sitting on the dash or affixed to the windshield in any way, except for their stupid registration / vehicle inspection stickers. That's why they make military put their stickers in the center of the windshield, at the top, behind the rear view mirror. Virginia thinks that if you put them anywhere else on the windshield, that it will obstruct your field of view. Yep, it's the only place in the US that requires its military residence to do this.

I really do hate that place and their stupid rules. It's like a bunch of third graders who are saying "It's my ball, so you have to play by my rules. I don't care how everyone else plays" or something like that.

 

Yeah, all that crap does suck... I guess I've changed my perspective a little since I don't drive a modified car anymore.
