Hiking fines is the most hypocritical idea EVER!!! On one hand they increase the fines to pay for the same enforcement that is there to protect us. On the other hand, if everybody obeyed the law there would be no fines to pay for it. They obviously want people to make mistakes, which is why officers are more than happy to run speed traps and write as many B.S. tickets as they can, i.e. exhaust, tint, no front plate etc..

 

I didn't realize this was ever in question.

 

Virginia is a great state.....to visit. Just don't live here and be subject to our crazy laws.

 

Not even good to visit. They believe here that you should know their laws and abide by them if you go thru it. This place is truly suckville USA. I cant wait to get out of here and go to florida.

Sweet finally a nice day in virginia...Washed my Big red ticket machine got the new uk badge installed last night time to cruise with the sunroof down. Cool i spotted a wingless black evo on rosemont Even better an umarked blue impala is flashing his lights at me he must like my new uk badge. GD It i hate virginia i never got 1 ticket in CA, OR, or any other of all the states ive lived in or driven through. BTW ive never been hasseled about not having a front license plate going on base *knock on wood*

 

This thread made me laugh, so many stupid comments in here. What just because you got a ticket or used to live in one of the worst counties in VA then the whole state sucks? That made me laugh so hard lol!!!!!! I live in Richmond VA, only get a personal property tax ONCE a year and there is NO such thing as emissions testing!!!! Been running catless 3 inch turbo back for almost 4 years now and still haven't received one exhaust ticket, and yes I do drive alot. Used to work 2 hours away in Harrisonburg!

90 percent of these little "Va sucks/Just got a ticket" threads are from kids going straight out of high school then into the military. Of course when they get some lead time they think they can do whatever they want, NOPE! So you can sit back and cry about all the little tickets you get and say VA sucks, but really its your fault for the ticket and its your fault you live in a bad county! Just because your military doesn't mean you can go around and break laws.

There are several reasons VA sucks. But yes it does suck. The same things that makes it "one of the worst counties in VA" makes it the worst state in the nation.

Completely agree with you on this one. But people in the military shouldn't be ticketed for everything that everyone else (you) apparently gets away with. Again, come to Hampton Roads, throw some DOD stickers on your car and your attitude will surely change.

And why is it ok for you to go around breaking laws, but not someone in the military? Did someone in the military bang your wife/girlfriend? You seem to have some bitterness towards military. Also, have you ever lived in another state? If not, give it a try sometime. You'll see that Virginia does in fact suck, and is the worst state in the nation.

 

I personally havent had a ticket since I was a teenager. VA Cops (especially Troopers) love to write tickets. The cars we drive draw attention which is obvious to say the least. I'm in the military and I commute from a small town in NC to Richmond alot. I dont have any problems on the NC highways but I know better than to drive in VA like I do in NC. I get pulled over more in the town I'm stationed in than I do in VA. The local cops near my base dont have anything better to do and love to stop people for stupid ****. I was pulled over before I deployed because this Cop thought my car was stolen, I bought the car almost three weeks prior and still had my temp tags on it. He couldnt give me a reason why he pulled me over which was normal for them. Cops are different where ever you go, just try and not draw attention if at all possible

 

This guy is just jealous. He couldn't get any last night and he is upset with his irrational decision to buy an STi. Looking at the thread he is stating a fact that no one pays any attention to STis.
