How long did you leave the battery disconnected?

Some cars will not reset just by disconnecting the battery...some will. I tried to reset it on my car as well...no dice. Any shop with a scanner can clear it for you. I would just go in acting like you want new tires, or brakes done and the bring it up. That way they will clear it for free lol.

I think you can actually reset the codes with the Tactrix now, although I'm not positive on that one. You can ask Charlie probably

You should be able to go to your local parts store and have them reset it. Most all major parts stores will check your codes for free and delete them as well. Advance, Autozone, Discount, etc

Most SRS codes need to be read/clear with a MUT III. AKA the dealer

I accidentally did this before too. I just went to the dealer, and told them that "it just came on." They scanned it for me, and cleared/reset the code.

Go to Autozone or Advanced. A guy did it for me, well. He told me what to do because they'd be reliable for it and get sued if something happens.

Most regular computer scanners do not include srs. Some bodyshops might have the proper software since they do a lot of airbag deploy crash repairs. We do not have the srs ability. I know the dealer can do it but of course will charge at least 1hr at their labor rate to reset it for you. If you disconnect an srs connector when the key is off it usually won't log a code but if you turn the key to the on position while an srs connector is still unplugged, you are usually screwed into getting it reset for $$. Unhooking the battery will only reset your clock and radio presets. It would be nice if you could do it through tactrix.
