yea I was in and out there alot last week...I saw the guy...saw the car... I saw Cory bring him from the metro station.... but anyways....AMS went TOTALLY outta their way to help me get my car back to 20+psi after I had some non-factory vaccume lines installed previously (which were needed for my HKS EVC).... they didnt charge me ANYTHING to change boost selenoids, etc.... to find out the problem... even after they found out I needed the factory lines with the resitrictors they installed them for me for free... JUST to make sure I was happy!!!!!!! they didnt need to do that, it was just nice.... They installed my guages...they look great..... they always offer me free drinks etc....

Mike and Cory ...see you next week for some more installs

Dude with the Subaru.... SHUT THE HELL UP AND GO TO A FREAKIN SUBIE FORUM........ furthermore, AMS is a bunch of great guys who have and will continue to install ALL of the parts on my car.......

I saw the car that they are talking about and it was a piece, and all rusted out. Furthermore, this guy doesnt even care about is car. He bought a 3rd party turbo kit that wasnt even installed correctly and the car had THE MOST rust spots on it of any car i have ever seen in my entire life.

AMSTUNING is an excellent shop, full of excellent prices and excellent people. Dont listen to this guy with the subie, he doesnt know what the hell he is talking about.

im on AMS's side on this one, about all the vaccum lines n **** that were lose, if i was being paid $20 an hour for shop work which is unheard of i would most likely not care on a car that old and not fast/cool.

Impreza RS guy you got way more than you payed for. so shut the **** up k?
have a nice day
even though i agree with the fact that 250 for a clutch swap is awesome if it's done properly, it's attitudes like this that make me not trust just anybody with a shop. Not caring about a customer's car b/c it's not "fast/cool" enough for you is utterly ridiculous and I hope you never open you're own shop because with that kind of attitude about customer service you won't make it anywhere.

Thats what makes AMS Tuning a great shop !!! They do care about every car that goes in there, and they also take their time with the vehicle and make sure its done right. It could be a brand new ferrari or a 1982 honda civic with a big wing... these guys will tell you honestly the best thing to do, and they will do the job the best they can, wich is always the best around !!! My evo will see no other shop than AMS Tuning because of their honesty and the high quality of work that they do.

I don't doubt it. I wasn't posting that in reference to AMSTuning. I'm sure they do very good work, I have no reason to suspect otherwise. I was referring to the less than mature comment made by another member (EVO8 WHOA).

sorry for resurrecting a 5 year old thread but I've been using that search function. Is amstuning that bad of a shop in the recent times? I've been looking at multiple sources for work and hear mixed reviews. If your experience was bad at amstuning, what issues did you have? anybody go there recently for substantial work on their evo? Thanks

I talked to them on here and phone about a year ago and they were jerks to me. I guess just get ahold of them if you want.

As I expected, still more negs than positives currently. Despite ams coming on here to defend themselves, too many complaints are around. Thanks for the input guys. Now time to bury this 5 year old thread

i was looking for a quote for intercooler, licp, electronic boost gauge, gsc s1 cams, 880 cc injectors, fuel pump and I'm waiting to hear back from

lascoula motorsports.

Dtm pushes dtm products and wont do other products. They will only install the aem boost gauge and not greddy but they did a good job with my initial tune and basic bolt ons.

I'm in a bit of a issue since I cant decide who'll give the best deal or to go with DTM in house made products vs competition.

Are there any shops im forgetting? I would've asked AMS but not risking anything with such a big job. THanks
