I live in very very Northwest Indiana and I was wondering if there is really good race shop near by? (I;m like 15 mins away from Chicago) I want a race shop, NOT a tuner shop.

 

AMS (automotor sports). They have their own forum in the vendor section and specialize in DSMs and Evos. Though if this qualifies as a tuner shop, and not a race shop, I apologize.

I know a handful of ex-mechanics that worked for AMS in Arlington Heights. They can pretty much handle anything your little heart desires, including parts. Some of the best street racing I have ever seen!

AMS races their cars so I would definately classify them as a race shop!

I would however like to see them at a few AutoX events this year.

 

You want a straight up race shop? Look up TAD Motorsports up in Lake Zurich, IL. thats the first place ive ever seen a evo 6 in person. The guy builds and races it. And he does cater to the DSM crowd.
