Here is the start of a tradition, I got an E-Mail from a guy who has a Brother who went to Riley, and got cochlear implants, he said his little brother would love to ride in my car, so that is how we will start all events every year, take a pace-lap with someone who has benefited from Riley in the past! good idea?

 

dont underestimate a yugo..ive seen a twin engine yugo on the autox course run very very fast times chevy v8 in the back, chrysler turbo inline 4 in the front..it was itneresting

so who wants to pick me up saturday? the chicago caravan crew?

 

How come nobody is going to pick up Spingeboob squirepants? come on over and we'll find you a ride, I'll get you a cowboy hat and a whip, and see if you can take my mother-in-law for a ride, but her knees are kinda degenerated! Might actually "give-out" on the tarmac! I'd come get you if I wasnt busy, try some deoderant and a tic-tac and start hitch-hiking!


P.S. my mother-in law will be there saturday, dont tell her I was cracking on her!!!! JK we get along fine!

 

That sounds like a great idea (I call dibs on second lap cause i too am special) because ur car is very moving, like a painting on wheels...me like!

Again, all cars will be shuffled into their NEW and improved catagories probably Tomorrow! Time is short, Sunny and 74 degrees when the wheels start scorching!!!! Dont forget lawn chairs and helmets!

i think the lap with a kid is a nice idea...

Pace lap? Phbbbt. Give the kid a helmet and give him a real ride that he'll remember I would think a fast Evo ride around an AutoX course would be awesome to a kid. At least it would've been for me as a kid.

 

Yeah, he doesnt know it now, but I will designate him "winged warrior Ambassador", he'll be by my side for the day, I'll give him a BRIGHT yellow shirt that says "Winger" event staff on the back, the same one all the show staff will be wearing, and give him a walkie-talkie also, and let him hand out the Grand Champion trophy, give the racers their time slips after their run etc...! this 11 year old has a busy day ahead of him and he doesnt know it yet! His Older brother says he loves cars, he better get ready for a CAR overload!!!!!! He's about to get into the car/racing world up to his eyeballs. this will be a day he WONT forget.

 

Wait a minute! thats what I was going to wear and hang out!!!!!!! I guess I'll wear my #24 hat backwards so they can tell us apart!

No actually, I'm a # 6 fan, Mark Martin, but I'm not "Brand-Loyal", but at my age, I might be real soon.

 

We will have announcers at the race also, just like at the NASCAR races! I have a Flagger who will flag the race! Will need names (real) and short info about themselves as to make the announcing more colorful! will post more tonight, as I have yet again, another walkthru today, and another one tomorrow! post soon!
