You have more experience with evos than me so hopefully I can pick your brain.
- Is an RS with a CD player a bad thing?
- I didn't notice a lot of wear on the interior maybe you could explain what you saw, I probably missed something.
- Regarding the miles, again based on your experience why do you think the miles are not actual or potentially were race / auto-x miles? Is it the RS trim / low miles that gives it away?

Thanks again for your time,

First link - dealer says no mods have been done but the heat shield doesn't look like the 2005 factory shield according to the pics I've seen.

Second Link - dealer said no mods but the air intake pipe is blue and about 3-4" in diameter and that isn't stock.
Ha, I just looked at both Evos and it fely like I as playing photo hunt. Pretty fun!

The white RS just has some wear and tear on the floorboards, nothing a set of mats wouldn't cover. It also looked like it had an aftermarket heat shield.

The MR looked really nice! I did see the blue uicp and also notices the strut tower mouned oil catch can. So, the previous owner definitely did some work to the car.

I wouldn't necessarily let these things scare you off. Also, with EvoM growing and growing, it may (and has happened in the past) be possible to locate the last owner and get a rundown of what has / hasn't been done.

Well, CD doesn't come with RS, and the wing also (not 100% sure on that one). By the wear I meant how dirty it is. And if the person didn't have any floormats at all, then maybe that dirty carpet is ok, but for 8K I wouldn't imagine it being so dirty.
And for having 8K on 05 model is not that common to see. That would tell you that the car has been probably used in auto-x and/or light racing. Did you check carfax?

P.S Did I mention that heat shield has been changed also?

RS has no wing stock... especially not black ones on a white car...

If you like black wings.. I'll sell you one: brand new warranty replacement.. if you buy the wing i'll throw in the car... its a good deal.

PM me.

The low miles on an 05 made me wonder as did the heatshield. It isn't the same one as on the stock evo for 05 and while I have read the RS had very few options, I never knew the wing was one of those that didn't get included. You learn something new everyday. Thanks for taking a few minutes to answer my questions. I'll probably stop by and take a look at them in the next 2 weeks depending on if I can get down there but my time is limited when I'm that far south into Ohio.

Poncho, it appears to be a clean car and well priced, amazing it hasn't sold yet. If someone doesn't snap it up I'd be surprised. I don't think it will be me right now as I'm doing my research on which evo I want and trying to convince the wife at the same time. lol... I appreciate the offer though.

I have been seeing 3 evo's in westerville. a black one thats debadged on 3 yesterday or monday late afternoon, and another black one in a neighborhood just north of maxtown on 3, and I saw a silver 9 that looked like mine on spring/tussic a few weeks ago. definitely not very many. If you guys see me I am silver 9 with a jdm rear, and a very quiet buschar/magnaflow tbe. I will always wave if I am not dodging silverhairs or pudknockers...

Sooo, that combo is quiet? I'm really wanting a turbo-back set-up but I don't want it too loud. Right now I have an eBay cat-back and I could stand to get a little louder. Post or PM me some more info, if you don't mind.

I have a cat because I race STU. You can hear it, but neighbors dont scowl at you or anything like that. So as far as exhaust go it is very tolerable. Plus its a very nice piece. My only gripe is I so miss the subi growl of the flat 4. The inlines will always sound civic-ess to me. So they are a tiny bit drony, but you wont need a need stereo...
