Greg,

Is there anything I can help you with you get you ready??? I am off of work until the 10th of Sept so I have time to get things done.....

Have you to put that car of yours on a diet yet? If not, get some dry ice and take out the sound deadening. From what I read that is nearly 20lbs. Hey.....every little bit helps. There is a big metal plate under the knee panel in the drivers area. One other large, un needed piece of metal is inside of the steering column plastic covers. Both of them weigh quite a bit and really are not needed for safety or other wise.

Did you ever put on the 9 front end? If not you may consider it.....it looks to have a bit more down force built in.

Lastly.....Post some darn photos....sheesh! !

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I miss the good old days with DSMs. I did fall in love with the EVOs though. I have started to neglect the Talon. I have to repair a brake line on it though and shouldn't let it sit too long.

Do any of you go to Mid-Ohio much? I was wondering if thats the main thing people are gearing their EVOs for down here.

Greg and Eli are the ones that mostly do Mid Ohio and other road courses. All of us hit the strip every so often mostly for tuning and to see the results of our mods. We all get involved in AutoX though. If you havn't done it before it would be a great start before hitting the road courses. It will help with the basics of breaking and cornering.

Most of us that do track days belong to the NASA OH/IN region. You can check out the website at www.racenasa.com and see the event listing. The national championships are in mid Sept at Mid Oh, but you still have a chance to do a HPDE at Putnam Park in early October, I know I'll be there. This will be my third event and I highly recommend it to everyone. No experience necessary, you will learn everything you need to know at the track.

There are a few good road course events left. There are 2 NASA events. One at Nelson Ledges and one at Putnam. There is also the Forgeline event at Putnam the end of Sept. I hope to be at a few of them.
Autox has sucked this year around here due to the Cinti region SCCA losing the Ford plant site. Several of the events were cancelled and several others were at Ky Speedway, which I don't really like going to.

Paul, I may be able to help with the cams/headstuds after I get mine apart and back together. I'm hoping to do mine Friday evening possibly.

I'd like to see some Evo's show up for the Forgeline or NASA event. Start saving up now
The Forgeline event will only have about 75 cars with 30-40 instructors and 3 groups...so there will be plenty of track time and plenty of instructors for anyone that wants/needs one.
Putnam is also a good track for those that have never done a DE before. Probably not as intimidating to most as Mid-O.

Not really no. It's a very informal event, I think last year there may have been more Evo's there than DSM's - and there was only 4 of us! I'll be sure to let everyone know when a date gets decided upon.
