Well it appears that Nick will be there driving something, I will be there, and Eli will be there. That's all I know for sure.

Is there any info on this DSM/EVO shootout? Or is it just a bunch of DSM/EVO owners getting together on test and tune day. Please let me know asap so I can prepare the car. Will Tri state enforce a cage?

 

You'd be fine without a cage. I know of someone that went a few weeks ago and they didn't enforce the cage rule on his car.
Yeah it's just a test and tune day where everyone is getting together. Gates open at 12:30 and I think you can run until 5 or so.

At least the car didn't break anything. That's always a plus. I heard that the blue evo broke, sorry to hear that hope it's not to bad.

 

Ahhh that sucks, you'll have to bring it down again. I am going to fix that oil leak in the DSM at some point and your car would make for an awesome race.

Not sure what broke, it felt/sounded like I ripped all the teeth off of the ring or pinion gear. I may pull it apart today so I can get some parts ordered.

And for the record, other than the brake line at Mid Ohio (that was my fault) this is the ONLY mechanical failure I've ever had on the car. Not bad considering what it's been through.

As some of you heard yesterday, the Evo is going back to street duty. I'm picking up a first gen AWD Talon next weekend to build into a dedicated track car. Game on.
