Ha! When I was in school in Oxford, Ohio, everyone would freak out on a couple inches of snow. I find it hilarious that everything shuts down on a 12" fall. I guess thats just because I am used to northern Ohio snow. It is probably the difference of the cities being prepared to handle snow. Obviously it doesn't make sense to invest billions on snow equipment when there is less of a chance to have serious snow falls.

Thanks for the recommendations on the all season tires. I might hold off on doing this as the evo will stay on jackstands in the garage this winter. I love the look of shiny underbody parts...

If any of you were wondering if I had finally overcome my indecisiveness, I would like to assure you this is not the case. I decided now is the time for me to buy a C5Z while I can still get a good deal on one, so the Evo has to go. Spread the word.

Good luck with the sale Nick. I was thinking about a C5Z (haven't ruled it out completely), but I still think I want an E46 M3. Or a blown E36 M3. Or maybe a G35. With a supercharger. <sigh> I wish I could overcome my indecisiveness.

Sheesh.....make up your mind already. My buddy Vince traded in his 350Z for a E46. It is a beautiful car but I still prefer the EVO.

What did he get? I might get an E46 330 if I can find one with the performance package on it, they are a lot cheaper than an M3 of the same generation. The Evo definately has it's place, but I don't have room for 4 cars. Heated leather seats and cruise with a killer suspension are starting to sound pretty good to an old guy like me.

Greg is your car over in northside on spring grove ave? I saw a BBY evo with no front fenders or a bumper no I/C today backed in a garage parking lot .

Don't get a 330 Greg. I had a E36 M3 and it was slow as dirt. It was a nice daily, but I drove it for a month and sold it because it was so damn slow.

Uh oh.......

No it is here in Florence. They were supposed to actually start working on it last week - I'm in no hurry to get it back at this point, and I'm having them clean up a bunch of little things on the car while they have it.

Nick - why no 330? With the Perf pkg it's just as fast as the E46 M3 for almost half the price. If I get an E36 M3 it will be FI'd at some point, so I'm looking at them with that in mind.

I was under the impression that the 330 was about as fast (slow lol) as a E36 M3. And a E36 M3 will nickel and dime you to death if you aren't careful in your purchase. The guy I bought mine from handed me a thick *** folder with about $10k in repairs for the same year that I bought it.

Just get a 98 Vette coupe with higher miles, they are in the high teens and will destroy any BMW you could find for the same price

A BMW is definitely not a cheap car to maintain/repair. I've considered one myself...but the cost of parts, etc. has kept me away. A Z06 would definitely be cheaper and easier to work on..not to mention faster Love the M3's though..
The Evo X is looking good too...leather, navigation, cruise, etc.

The perf pkg on the 330 gives the same 333 hp as the E46 M3. The BMW's are expensive to maintain, but can't be any worse than what I spent on my Evo last summer. Who knows. The newer vettes just don't do anything for me - maybe I need to go drive one. I'm sure Danny could find me a good one...

Watch it, Greg, I think I'm seeing a white Crown Vic in your future.

Dave, are you going to be doing track events this spring? I hope so

I've never driven a C5Z...but I sure did like Bruces C6Z when I drove it . Having a 'Vette expert like Danny around definitely adds to the appeal of getting a Z06.

Ya, we'll see. I gotta get mine back first, then get it mechanically squared up before I get anything else.

We are headed out soon, you guys have a good New Years!

well I haven't been updated on this page I hate when I dont get emails! Anywho I"m down for karting whenever.

Greg dont get a g35.. they suck. Cant tunr the traction control off, like you can in the 350's.

I still say if you want to race get something inexpensive so if you smash it.. youwont really care to much.
