I think I am going to take the head off any way. I have a cometic head gasket and need to replace the timing belt so I figure why not tear it all apart.

Having a t belt all the way off, is always a good reason to have the head off. lol Especially before I had all the proper tools to do the job. I literally would of rather built an entire long block than to a t belt job with out the right tools. Any way I have 3 white evos im "trying" to get ready for the shootout now. Most likely since I actually typed that some act of god will take them all out at the same time or something. So if you need to borrow the tool it might be sketchy in the next couple weeks. If you want to open the head up if you are taking it off the car and you are planning on going to the shootout, I can work it in. I will definitely recommend doing a vjob however. Shoot me a pm...

And don't forget I have that timing belt and the timing belt tools sitting at my house for you Paul.

If you are going to do a valve job you should definitely port it.

Well that's kind of annoying, I used to pick up parts and filters there. =\

Guess I need to find somewhere new!

Honestly I think you would get more out of it if you were to part it out. You have some mods that sell like hot cakes. Then you can still sell a "Stock" evo for the same price. You would be surprised at how many people want an unmolested evo.

How's the Mini holding up???

Mini's freakin awesome. To part it out I would have to have many oem pieces to swap. It's got 53900 miles on it too. I would hate to have to return it to stock and get it retuned too... but I would be willing to swap stuff out like coilovers, of course.

That's crazy, I sold mine for $20k not too long ago. Basically the same year/miles/mods. I can't believe you still have it.

If you need stock parts....I have all of mine plus some that were given to me. As for the tune, ECUFlash is so easy to put a stock tun back in. Takes all of 5 minutes.

It seems like no one wants a yellow evo these days????

For those who are heading up to the shootout, when are you leaving?

I will be leaving either tonight or tomorrow but I was hoping to meet some of you at the shootout.
