Heading out for the night in Cleveland...but if anyone else is headed to the shootout events this weekend PM me with your number and we'll meet up. Sounds like its Greg (2gnt), Tim (slorice), and myself going.....
You are all weak-sauce!

600 miles on the bike, 3 days a Mid Ohio, 2 nights in Norwalk, MANY beers, a few shots, and a party of 26 at outback saturday night. What a fantastic weekend. Brian is right, you are all weaksauce!
It was nice to meet ya.I haven't been to many shootout's compared to some but this was by far the quickest shootout that I have seen. Great weather too...
Greg - you are nuts with all that driving! The oil speculators loved you this weekend....
Greg - Ah the bike... I forgot about that. What did you pace in? I figured it was your Evo. I was wondering how you would have gotten both cars up unless the wife drove one...
Paul - I didn't take many pictures to be quite honest. I figured there would be tons of people on here posting pictures for me with way better cameras than what I have. I can send you what I have. I probably took more video with my camera than pictures.
On a side note, I came across a guy today in Florence that I think you may work with. He said he worked with a guy named Paul with a white Evo... The conversation was cut short so I didn't get his name.
Pace car, funny story. I show up at the maintenance building saturday morning, and ask for the pace car. Mid Ohio supplies the pace car for all our event, being a Honda track, we have to use the proper car....
Anyway, dude looks at me and says "you don't have it?"
Umm, no....
"Well someone had it yesterday".
Your school guys had it yesterday
"oh"
20 minutes later they discover the Pace car (RSX Type S) is in Columbus. "oh do you need it?". Soo, they fix me up one of the TSX's they can find the key for, throw a light bar on it and i'm on my way. Ridiculous.

Off the topic here but I just found a nail and a screw in two of my month old Dunlops. Pissed. All the construction around here kills me.

I have the JDM rear bumper ready for paint. The cams, springs, cam gears, and head studs are still sitting on the bench. I am in the process of getting rid of rhe buschur MBC and putting in an AVC-R. I did install the trunk bar and made some much needed clutch adjustments. Twin disks don't need much throw.
It is amazing at how little time I get to work on my car. Family must come first. Also I have been putting in time on my jeep. My step daughter will be legal to drive in Jan so I have to get it ready for her.
One thing I have done to the EVO is a lot of data logging. I have it tuned to get around 25 MPG for average daily driving. Gotta do something for these darn high gas prices. This will also make tuning the cams a lot easier because of the experience I am gaining. The car is tuned to taper from 14.7 AFR to 11.6 at redline. Spool is crazy fast with AFR in the mid 12s. I also set a 2 step at about 5400 rpm because when I went to the track I realized I suck at launching. Maybe this will help. Finally I set the rev limiter to 7800. Not that I rev this high, I just hated bouncing the rev limiter at the strip. It is amazing how rusty one gets when they are deployed and don't drive for a year.
If any of you have a stock ecu and would like some smoothing done on your tune, I can take care of it for you. It will make your car run much better in my opinion.
Anyone know where I can get some replacement bulbs for the AC unit??

I never ran the slicks as the guy who has them didn't bring them to the shootout.

Anyways, I may end up getting to use them this weekend though up at National Trails Raceway for the Import Faceoff.

I'll have to catch up with you at one of the local tracks sometime. I forgot about that event going on a Nat trails. I might show up for some Evo support. You better beat the snot out of any fast rice machines. Anyone else going or care to caravan up?
