Eh, I'm backing to selling / trading in my car. Anyone have any experience with the new X? I went out to Kerry Mitsu the other day for some oil filters and took a look around the lot. they are selling the MR for 43k!!! WTF!!!

I asked em "sell many of these??" "not a one.." I need to find out what the dealerships pay for this car and talk em down to that...

Ahh well that sucks. My company is a partner of Mitsubishi's so i know I can get the car at 2% above dealership cost. However, just like you, i'm not going to pay 40+ for any car...

With the market being crappy as it is ...perhaps I can lowball them? Do you remember the name of the salesrep you worked with?

Easy installs...
Fuel pump....20 mins
Clutch line....30 mins
O2 Housing....1 hour
Boost controller....Manual....15 minutes, Elect....1 hour
Boost gauge....45 mins

I am surprised you didn't do the fuel pump a long time ago....that is usually one of the first mods because of the margin of safety it adds.

Greg....no ABS? How did you do that????

Carter....where you been??

I think the no abs has something to do with the black calipers and melted wires behind the front wheels... I've gotten very good at driving on track without it however.

Dang Greg.....you scare me. J/K.

Sounds like it is time for a big brake upgrade. Or will that bump you up in class??

Ohh....this might help you. I have a set of brembo adaptors to run larger rotors. Bruce gave them too me when he was cleaning out his storage area. Might help a bit with cooling?

I've been hiding... ever since we lost the Ford plant I've lost interest in most autox's... If i wanted to drive around in circles in a small lot I have one here at work lol!

Who knows, maybe this season will be different -- i haven't heard any differently though... has anyone?

Done tracking the Evo, except for a session here or there. It was only on track once this year. I just need to get th LF ABS sensor, but all the part out guys keep flaking on me, and the harnesses are like $300 each from Mitsu.

Question

Anyone see the latest lower intercooler pipe from ETS? They came out with a second version (LP2) which implements a funnel like coupler to make the transition in pipe diameter. What do you guys think (other than the blue couplers) ?

Just trying to start some conversation...Are you guys hibernating yet?

Guys, my evo is traded in on a new mini cooper clubman in choclote and black. My stock rims with nearly new kumho snows are for sale and my 17x9 5zigen fn01rc's with kumho v710's are for sale as well (tire trailer also for sale). Some stock parts laying around, like exhaust and cams are available.

Hit me up for a price on the snows.

Sad to see it go. Your car was super nice.

What kind of trade-in $ did they give you, if you don't mind telling? As for the LICP, I'll keep my custom piece from Pure Tuning. More money than that one, but made WAY more under the curve too; just where I needed it.

I have HKS pipes. They solved this issue a long time ago by providing a turbo nozzle that tapers out to 2.5in (same size as the intercooler inlet). Then the lower pipe is full 2.5 from the nozzle to the intercooler. Oh and the HKS nozzle is cast so I ported it to match the turbo outlet.

Works like a champ.

I think ETS is on the right track.
