***Official SW Ohio Chat Thread***
The track's pretty good I think. It doesn't have it's final layer of "polymer asphalt" which they're raving about. But it's a very fun track. a lot of elevation change, some dips, hills, banked long turn, it's pretty neat.
I'll post up this guy's email that runs the show, I just showed up and I assume you can do the same, but just in case you want to get in touch with someone I'll post it up.
The supervisor of what was going on said they're putting in a 1/4 mile strip also, and I said "man you guys need a rally course in the woods too, that'd be a dream come true"
and he replied "yeah man, we're trying to make that happen too".
So I'm used to empty promises and ****, but it'd be pretty sweet if all that happened in addition to the track being pretty dope.
Dragstrip and Rally? They can't even get the track paved. They cancelled next weeks 10/10ths event, and I don't think there is anyone in NASA right now that thinks the June event is going to happen, which royally screws over our schedule. I'd really like to see them succeed, but things are not looking good.
yeah I think it was more of the "someday" list I hope. I mean, work's definately getting done there, it's just a matter of being realistic vs. trying to please people's ears which it sounds like what they're doing. He said they have two more layers of asphalt to put down, which will take about 10 days, two weeks of moving "earth", and a few weeks of beginning on the score tower, so May no... June, no...... but this summer should be realistic.

Just got back from Pure Tuning. I finally had Keith retune me from the 110 octane leaded tune we put on the car for the 07 NASA Nats. Baseline with that tune @ 14psi was 270whp with a very lean and lumpy a/f. An hour later the a/f was flat as Kansas and the car put down 304/308 @ 21psi (Mustang Dyno). Awesome job considering the mod list: '05 turbo, ebay o2, 3" t-back with no cat, hard pipes, 660cc injectors, and a boost controller. Big thanks to Keith for making the car fun again!

Greg....your boost is petty conservative even for an 05 turbo. You can easily get more out of it. What kind of timing are you seeing at peak torque?
No idea Paul. That turbo runs out of power at 25 psi. We were just under 22 psi according to the chart he printed out. The power that 3 psi will generate at that level of boost is not worth running the car on the ragged edge. I'm very happy with the tune.

I would be curious to see the log of the pull. It just does not sound right. I put down 320 on a dyanpac dyno with very few mods on a stock 8 turbo. You should easily be able to get closer to 350 with cams and all you have done.
