Hey guys. Just had my new wheels installed by a place here in town that everyone seemed to recommend, and this was the result. Would you guys consider this normal install wear-and-tear, or unacceptable damage?
I made a thread in the X's wheel forum, so pics are over there:

The stock EVO crank does something like 15000 RPMs. The stock crank has nitride coatings on it.
The magnus intake manifold in sheet metal has been known to crack and or blow apart under exteme instances. Friend of mine on here Paul Nelson blew his apart a few times. Not to mention, they have found that the large diameter intake manifolds often flow to freely and need disruption inside them to create the results that mangus V5 and AMS now does.
The FMIC is a little small for the application.
I know that a 3.5" sounds great for 820whp ratings, but a simple buschur 4" race core seems to outperform almost EVERY core out there.
my buddy/tuner was just at the track about 2 weeks ago and informed me of a slowboy 3.5" core that ran a garrett core went from 85 deg to 129 deg. Where as the buschur 4 " core went from 85 to 96 deg. Both cars built similar and ran with an HTA3586.
Not here to promote him, I dont own a single buschur part.
big fuel lines are useless, and make your car gargle. I had the AMS 1000whp kit and hated it. Always starved for fuel... stock lines with an FPR, RAIL and injectors with dual pumps are key.
The buschwacker tranny is cheap in my opinion, and would have went with shep.
The carbonetics clutch will be expensive to replace and hard to drive on the street. (dont know if you got the cerametallic or the carbon) but carbon is a ***** to drive on, the cera is just annoying to listen to (I had the exedy triple and it was sooooo loud at all times.)
And finally the HKS DLi was found to have ZERO effect on my car. After it started losing spark on the dyno (I still have my NGK laser iridium spark plugs) the were 2 step colder and back to back runs showed absolutely NO help.
I am not trying to critique your mod list, just pointing out a few things since you posted it up..
Either way, you are going to make some serious power!!!! Cant wait to see it in action some time soon!!!!
The wheels were definitely flawless, straight off the container from Japan, and I had the foresight to take an extensive HD video for proof of that fact. I posted in a couple places, and you're the 3rd or 4th person to say that it looked like they didn't use a plastic centering cone. The number of impact wrench chips on them makes me think you're probably all correct and that was overlooked as well.
On the plus side, the alignment is spot on.

Sorry for the damages to your wheels. I don't recall them ever being so careless. Usually that are flawless with their work. I am certain they will work something out with you. I will be going to see them in a week or so to align and corner balance my car.
So I was planning on coming down on Saturday, but I am pretty sure I will be down in Louisville for http://www.hullabaloufest.com/hullabalou If that falls through I will definitely be in attendance.
Also... Who was the wingless silver VIII behind me from US-35 until you made a right onto Airway Rd. I am going to assume you were heading to the base??

it depends there are 2 silver ones that run around on airway.... one with carbon hood and then mine with black stock wheels.

We all use the same shop pretty much and the same tech has mounted tires for nearly everyone I know. He has mounted tires on my Volks and aligned the car with them on there and never left so much as a nick on them. If he scratched them I'm pretty sure he will own up to it and make it right.
It was in my rearview, but I think it was a carbon hood. It also had pretty blue HIDs on.
Despite being a bit terse (forgivable as it was pretty early for bad news), he seemed concerned. He was going to talk to the tech and his wheel repair guy and get back to me in a week. While taking the time to come show him the damage may have made my intentions obvious, I never asked for anything. He offered to talk with everyone about what could be done.
As a note, I do want to say that I'm actively trying not to bring up any names here... I only posted to get some advice from you guys on what I should do, and thanks for your responses so far.

It does see some track duty. Usually a track day or two a year. I might not get to any this year with the way this tire/wheel stuff is looking.
I'm certainly a novice, though, so it doesn't get quite the beating some others do.
Well for anyone that lives near Wright-Patt AFB. Me and a couple buddies are rolling up to the greene for a car meet. There are usually about 70-80 cars there its a good turn out (if it doesnt rain). we can meet up at my place and head out from there. we will head over there around 5:30. if anyone wants to go let me know.
