High Altitude AFC II Settings

Can someone point me in right direction with some base settings for my AFC till I can make it in to see Nick. My current settings are in my sig. Anyone see any issues with those? I tried to stay on the conservative side. I want to see what some other colorado drivers are going with. I want to save my dyno money for some 272's. Just don't want to blow her up until then. Is it just me or does that damn walbro suck that tank dry way to quick???

Thanks in advance for any info...

i dont think you really needed the 255 yet, not until you get cams, you could almost take it out, the rest im not to sure about but if you are talking about MAC i would say dont go. go anywhere else, Ive heard to many bad things about them for a LONG time. but to each their own.

Twitch, you got pm.

Also, Nick does know what he is doing...... You just gotta know what you want too. Stay conservative like 11.5-7a/f and limit boost to 21psi if your running 91 oct. fuel. Just tell Nick that and he will know what to do. He is not a bad tuner when it comes to SAFCII. Utec on the other hand is another story.

dont get me wrong, ive never been, but i dont distrust friends and fellow car owners. If they are good then cool, but i would rather learn how to tune my own cr then pay someone, and I mostly know how, I just dont know to tune the EVO with AFC but if i got ahold of one im sure i could hook it the hell up

I don't want the custom tune but rather the basic reflash. $200. I'm so short of time I don't think I could fit it in. Not to mention my wife chews on me anytime I spend money on my car. I have to sneak in the upgrades

Anybody gonna hook me up with some base settings for my AFCII...

Thanks ~

I have settings but 1....I don't know what they are and 2....you wouldn't want mine of your car would have a seizure. Sounds like you and I are almost in the same boat....but I bet you yours runs properly. You want a reflash.....and I want mine back to stock. I should have never flashed in the first place.

Nick can tune the hell out of an SAFC. Ask my friend Jay who has no reflash, just SAFC, cams gears, injecotrs etc.....and Nick has him safely tuned at almost 400whp and 400tq.

I think I will follow that route. No more flashing for me...except back to stock.

That's to funny I thought I was the only one. I thought I was going to have to come up with a good story for the exhaust but I was amazed when she did not even notice... I was in the dog house for days after my gauge install. She leaves for work at like 5am so I do most my modding at the crack of dawn on the garage floor. I have to say I am very impressed with MAC's shop though. He gave me a ride to my office when I dropped my car off and even came back and picked me up when it was done. My wife never noticed. Pretty slick. I told her the AFC was only $100 not sure how I pulled that off. I'm playing with fire for sure...

It's not just you. I too notice significant increases in fuel consumption at 6500'. You should see how bad it gets above 10000'.
