I am not sure I mentioned this here, but I am doing this for the sick kids at the local Childrens hospital, and I came up with the idea to have the "sick" kids come down and sign my car with a silver pen. (I have to park the car outside the hospital for a few hours, and they come down, or get wheeled down and sign their name, wish us luck, etc...) They will be my "Honarary co-pilots". there will be TV and news personel covering the "signing". I think the kids can sign the hood/trunk. It might put a smile on some of them for sure. They wanted the light bar back on, like in the advertisements we are doing here locally, so I oblidged. I can turn the lights on and off from in the car, and thought I better cover the lights up during public driving, hence the blue covers.
I had a cop pass me, and give me the "thumbs-up" on the highway yesterday!
Anyway, thought I would share.

UPDATE!!!!
more info on www.wingedwarrior.net
UPDATE FOR SPECTATORS AND ENTRANTS!!!!
IF YOU PLAN TO WATCH THE DRAGS, YOU HAVE TO GO TO MUNCIE DRAGWAY ON FRIDAY!! www.munciedragway.com
Ok, as all of you should know by now, we were dealt a "bad hand", and we have to scramble to do as many events as possible, to salvage a fun event for the kids. (In September, we will do ALL events at ONE location, like it should have been all along.)
Here is the NEW TECH info:
The tech will be done Friday starting at 3:00 PM, at MUNCIE DRAGWAY!!!(20 minutes away from the Anderson-Darlington airport) I got the track for us, and only us from 3-6PM to do some "heads-up" drags. Each car will get their 3 passes, and each car will get their 0-60 MPH times also!!! I really appreciate Roger at Muncie Dragway for helping us out on this with such short notice. They are also prepping the track for us. (Guess the burn-outs are OK now!)
The tech will be done there. If you want to stay and race (AFTER we get your times for this event), you can, or you can just stay and watch some great drag-racing action!!
If you are not able to make it at that time,(3-6) we can get you in for your times during Saturdays events at the strip, OR squeeze you thru friday evening. They are there LATE on Friday. You have different options to do, but we can get you thru.
Then Saturday, its business as usual on the tarmac at Anderson-Darlington airport. (Huge autox, Skidpad, and HUGE car show)
The tires you use at the strip, ARE THE SAME YOU USE SATURDAY!!! No illegal swaps, or you get
If you are able to make it at that time, show up we have the track from 3PM-6PM, just for US!! If you cant get your times in on Friday 3-6 pm, we will get you thru that night, or early on Saturday.

I had given up on entering the event since it went pass the date for the final listings. But it look like I made the cut.
So let see if I'm on the right track. Friday from 3-6 will be drag/0-60 mph runs, because we can not do this at the airport. But if you show up Satuday for WWII to run at the airport, you have to make a trip over to the dragstrip to complete drap/0-60 mph.
I can get my tech sheet completed Friday by you guys, instead of taking it to a mechanic?
I looked and could not find the start time for the event on Saturday (must be blind). What time does it start?
Here's a couple of questions my wife wanted to know. How far from Richmond is the event? Is there an A/C tent or somewhere she could take the baby if it gets to hot on Saturday?

We will do the tech. (friday PM or Sat AM) we OWN the drag-strip from 3-6 Friday afternoon. Nobody in the strip but us WWII competitors. There will be lots who cant make it in that window, so we will stay the evening to get the runs in. Originally Posted by Invoice EVO

I dont know how far from Richmond IN., maybe 45 minutes? If you want off the list because of the delay, let me know. I apologize for the inconvienence.
Do NOT forget, the Drag-race, and the 0-60 MPH portion will be held on Friday from 3PM-1AM!!! we wont have to wait in line to make the passes from 3PM-6PM, as that time is for "US". from 6PM-1AM, we have our own "line" for the drags, and alternate with the rest at the "Fast and Furious" night they have there. Just a heads up!!! Saturday June3rd, is the rest of the events at the airport!!!
Muncie dragway www.munciedragway.com is only 25 minutes away from the airport!!
