Yes Prez from Omaharacing, had a black talon, my name is Jeremy though. That is the white evo I picked up. It appears to be in awesome shape couldn't pass it up. I don't think I am that young but compared to most I suppose so. I'm 24.

We've met - We had dinner at Happy Joe's remember. We then went out and ran that blue SRT-4 that night on the bypass. Small world! Yep, Corey was the one who ate the oily tissue (Street Surgeon)

I'm 41 so don't feel bad

We try to get together when we can. Once a month the Evo & STi people get together. It's gonna be harder with the cold weather coming but we can plan a meet if you want.

Yep, thats me, buddy! MR is allright, I don't drive her much and baby it like my other stuff. People give me hell for it.

Yeah, we finished building on schedule last October (2005), been in it over a year now....You should stop by some time, if you'd like. Wife and I generally hang at the crib...

Yeah, like Tim said - more STi's than Evo's in this town! We hang out with them, they are pretty cool...We meet 1st wednesday of every month. So, we just met yesterday.. I missed it coz I was kinda sick.

I know des moines mitsu people pretty well, go figure! They just sold the red IX MR to a 77 year old guy...Wow, thats nuts! I wonder if was the Z06 guy from Omaha I talked to at MAM on saturday....Badog(Tim) must have impressed him by spanking those M3's....wjowsa!

Almost forgot, the lightweight battery kits all have one critical flaw... what happens if you flip your car over? I need to figure out a better method so I won't worry about it moving around.

Have you seen mine? Its held on on each side by 2 billet posts (not cheap posts like stock) and a top bracket bolts it down to the tray. Also, my whole tray is bolted to the cars frame exactly how the stock battery tray is. Not to forget, the battery sits "inside" the tray rather than on it, so the lower lip holds it in place as well. It aint goin nowhere.

So, if you flipped mine or your car....the damage will be the same. The battery aint goin anywhere!!!!

NISEI FTW

Here are some pics....mine is identical except for its andoized to match the valve cover!

Nice, I like it! I may just have to go that route

I think the battery is the last thing you need to worry about if you flip the car over, especially with harnesses on and no roll cage/ roll bar. You'll pretty much be squashed and/or dead, so it shouldn't be to much of a worry

I need something to replace this hose. I'd like a hard pipe if possible. Anyone know of an aftermarket hose? Mine is torn from hitting the battery I think. I'm pretty sure it's going to wear all the way through soon...

Tim - Kill 2 birds with 1 stone...
Injen IC pipe and intake FTW, yo!

1) It allows stock battery location and stock size as well.
2) Includes intake and filter
3) Nice hard Lower intercooler pipe that frees up HP. Stock is freakin small
4) Hard upper IC pipe that will not balloon or swell
5) Aluminium is nice and light!
6) Best package price for the money
7) Its MAD BLING BLING YO!

Check with Scott at ttp-engineering if he can get it at that price. Evomoto.com is good. Also check with primo8998 (Marty combs at Injected Performance). Tell anyone that EvoIXMR(KC) referred them to you. Good luck!

Thanks KC, I might have to order that and then worry about tuning later. I guess I do have the entire winter to get it running right

if you do tim, i 100% am telling you, you need to use t-bolt clamps. I've ended up replacing my flex parts (to the intercooler, as they use the stock ones) and i had a bit of pipe popping off issue. it's no fun.

use t-bolt clamps.

No problem, Tim. Thats a good deal, there!

Yeah, T-bolt clamps are awesome. I would recommend them with stock setups running higher boost as well. Just make sure that you don't tighten t-bolts too tight with aluminium piping - you can warp the shape!

I found RMR and Nisei both have a hard pipe kit that works with the stock airbox and battery. I'm probably gonna do that but go ahead and get a battery kit as well.

Some good info
