My KW's finally arrived, so I should be rocking up to Des Moines by noon on Sunday. Let me know if there's anything I can bring. Also, any idea how Robi wants payment for his services? Beer I hope.

08/31/2006 3:45 PM - Just got off the phone with Robert. He is tentatively hoping to reach Des Moines on Sunday at noon or so (afternoon sometime). He plans to immediately work on the out-of-towners Evo's (speedomodel/Compjoc) and work on mine on Monday sometime before hitting the road.
Rygoner - He may just head towards your direction and work on yours if you are ready for him as the robispec roadshow heads to Ohio

Robi day in DSM looks to be cancelled! :(
SAD SAD NEWS UPDATE:
I hate to break this news to everyone:
I just talked to Robert. The air ride suspension on his 4 car trailer has broken down. His trailer and him were unable to leave on time.
Originally, he had planned to take his son to college and head to SLC DSM straight from there. Instead, he had to take his son to college AND head back home to Cali to try to fix the trailer and get on the road costing him about 20 hrs of time.
Robert is headed back to Cali now. He will reach there late tonight and will try to get the trailer fixed and running tomorrow (needs new compressor at a minimum) This will be hard to do on a sunday and monday being a holiday, it will be hard for him to get on the road this weekend.
Even if he left late Sunday/Monday and drove non-stop, it would put him in Des Moines around tuesday. Also, Robert needs to have his cars at Buschur later on this week (thursday or so) to have them worked on.
In summary, At this time, he will NOT be able to work on everyone's cars on his way to mid-Ohio. Instead, he hopes to work on them on his way back.
Anyone who has paid a deposit and wants a refund will be given one. Once he is up and running, he will create a contigency plan of attack to get our vehicles done.
He probably will not post till late tonight/tomorrow. More news to come.

Thanks EvoIXMR for your hospitality. I wish I'd called you before driving all the way to DSM on a broken suspension. Seriously, right now I'm too pissed for words. Nearly hydroplaning off I-80 on the way home didn't help. Note to self: R-compounds and rain showers don't mix.
Wait, you drive on r-compounds on the street? Why? I'm just curious
The most I've ever driven on the street with r-comps is a few miles to get gas instead of paying $4-$5/gallon at the track.

James - Post a night pic with the headlights on, will ya mate? Cheers!
I called Robert and left him voicemail - no reply yet. I don't know what the re-scheduled plans are. Hope he calls back soon!
Will keep everyone updated. Thanks!

Calling speedomodel, compjoc, rgonyer - Anyone heard from Robert? I have PM'd him and left him 2 voicemails. I am not sure what is going on. I figured he would on his way back and want to get the installs done. Hmmm....
We pm'ed a week or so ago, at that time his plan was to be coming back through around the 18th of this month. He was thinking he could stop at my place sometime in the afternoon / evening of the 18th. Other than that, haven't heard much or if it is still on or not.
