I went by today to see the cars. They had a practice today and I noticed ALOT of AWD cars converted to rear wheel drive. Signal had thier R34 skyline drifting, There was even an STI there. But it crashed into a wall. But by my amazment, Theres a blue Evo drifting! I wasnt able to catch his sponsors but It definitely confirms im there tomarrow. Start time is at 12 noon to 8pm. Price is 20 i believe. If anyone wants to meet thier and just wants to holler let me know, ill pm my cell.

 

My neighbor told me that he saw them practicing today as well. If weather permits, I will be there. AMS is supposed to be displaying their T.A. car there too.

 

As of the moment...it's going to rain...anywhere between 40% and 60% chance. Knowing my luck...since I can't go...It's not going to rain at all and I'm gonna miss everything!

Before I forget! fill up over 8 gallons of bp fuel, bring the reciept, and they will knock off 5 bucks off the ticket. BP amoco is a cosponsor of the event. Since gas are at a all time high, They will be the ones in the bp booth wearing the bullet-proof vests.

It ws BS how the EVO got eliminated against the mustang. He had a better run the first time and should have qualified for the top 4. Who won the event anyway, i left right after Evo got out.

The guy with the Viper....I forgot his name though. He faced off with Rhys Millen, and Millen ended up spinning out. Instead of continuing, Millen did some wild donuts and drove the fans nuts....good show. Man, there were a lot of Evos in the parking lot.

 

samuel hubinette with the viper against Rhys Millens GTO.. at the first round.. GTO went first and Viper followed.. some dude spilled a **** load of water and it ran down to the track... Rhys Millen saw it and avoid it but Samuel was following and didn't see it..hit it and spung out... Judge said due to the change of track condition..they did a rerun... First round after rerun and was a good run... but at the second run.. Rhys millen spung out at the second cone and started doing donuts.... the judge reviewed the tape and said that Samuel was a car ahead at the pacing cones and that was against the rules... Rhys millen was given another chance to rerun but he decided not to and gave the championship to Samuel Hubinette and his Viper.. First place - Viper, Second place - GTO, Third Place - s2000.. if i believe... those 3 were all american drivers... i was kind of disapointed that Daijiro and Ken Guchi got eliminated... that was gay

 

I had a hell of a time. I met Tarzan. That was sweet. And I was able to hang out with Rich rutherford. He is the stuntdriver in the red evo for the fast and furious movies, all three. Overall I had a blast. And yes, the evo got the shaft.
